This is a freaking masterpiece release when it comes to demos; I must've been in the first few dozens or hundreds, I don't how many people was around to hear this material, I must have been there in the first ones in the early 2000s. There is also a music video for the title track which was around about that same time period when this demo was out. I am quite fond of all of these songs; how didn't they all end up on a full length release? Good power/heavy metal and they give some competition to Teräsbetoni.

Metal Rasputin
I remember listening to this back when it was relatively new in the early 2000's, I think it had some sort of cult following or something. Some friend of mine showed it to me and it was pretty cool, back then Finnish metal lyrics sounded very weird and silly, and considering this is about some fantasy and a magic sword I thought it was somekind of stupid oke. I mean the name of the band literally means "Heavy Metal Ass".

In hindsight I think for a demo this is really good stuff. Had they come up with a more proper name for the band they could've been taken way more seriously back in the day.

It's hard to say how serious they were about the band, taken the band name, lyrics, and the music video. I am not too serious about anything nowadays, and I can appreciate a good joke, a parody and people making fools of themselves, it does have value too and it reminds to not to live too rigidly. Of course this isn't a 10/10 release if I looked from a serious point of view, and I know everybody won't "get it", it is same with Manowar and Teräsbetoni, etc.
