HOW AM I THE FIRST PERSON TO VOTE ON THIS AFTER NEARLY 20 YEARS!!!!?

So I discovered this album on Forgemasters Metal Reviews on YouTube a few months ago and added it to my "Must Jam" list. This week I decided to listen to Swallow The Sun's complete discography and they might be one of my new favourite bands. I don't think a single album is lower than an 8. Then I found out that this band was a side project of STS members and immediately had to listen to it. This isn't sweet melodic doom but moreso traditional death metal. Honestly I think it's closer to blackened death metal. Musically it's more trad death with but with black metal vocals for the most part. It's nothing crazy unique but it's a helluva ride. More people really need to check this out. I enjoyed the hell out of this

IMO, calling this a side project of Swallow The Sun is a bit of stretch. The only thing they have in common is Matti Honkonen, the bassist. It's like calling Soen a side project of Sadus just because Steve DiGiorgio happened to play in both bands at the same time.

I mean I was quoting what I seen somewhere else . I did say "side project of STS members" which it is. Maybe just one member but nonetheless it's the reason I listened to it and I'm glad I did
