Say what you like, I need this DragonForce-happy-go-luckiness in my life. On a more serious note though, I wonder who's writing the songs. If it's all Marc, then DF are seriously holding him back. Some great stuff here. Solos are amazing, it's awesome to hear some real solos as opposed to nintendo wankery. I think Marc's voice is kinda meh, but this album and DF's last are pretty great imo.

Logically, I know this isn't an 8, but I really enjoy that "happy-go-luckiness" as you say, so what the hell, I'm giving it an 7.75 and we shall just round up and call it 8. Very much agree with you on the solos and the overall composition. If it's 100% Marc, props to him.
