Listened to Gospel Of The Vile for the first time in ages today - hadn't heard they had a new one coming, mightve missed it if I hadn't gone to reread my review!

Pretty solid post-metal/sludge release. it has quite a dark and sinister atmosphere and a certain aggressive energy about it.

On first listen I find this one less dynamic and a bit less catchy than the first one. Gospel Of The Vile was so good at alternating crushing moments with lighter ones to catch a breath. But I guess with this one being 20mn shorter, it lends itself well to a only pure heavyness.. I will probably dig it more after a few more spins.
