It's impossible not to compare this album with Crypta's Shades Of Sorrow. After listenting to both back to back, I definitely prefer Jailbreak. It's more melodic and groovy and I like the vocals better too. Jailbreak is one of the best thrash albums of the year while I don't even put Shades Of Sorrow in my top 5 death albums.

I actually really like this album, I would say even more so than Crypta's earlier release, which for me is very good too. There's lots of energy to it, lot's of ferocious fun with some great riffing, and at the most aggressive end of the thrash spectrum. I can see why this might not appeal to some listeners though.
