A fairly enjoyable triumphant-sounding meloblack record with some symphonics and a limited level of extremity. The clean vocals are slightly hit and miss in quality; they really hinder the opening song, but sound better on some later ones

I prefer their previous record. Neptunian is fun and has some great songwriting (which was to be expected) but I think it lacks the neo-classical-leaning grandeur of Maestro, which had its fair share of jaw-dropping moments scattered through a slightly flawed album.

It has some fairly enjoyable moments but I'm struggling to get into it as a whole, sure it's well performed, it's produced excellently, and has quite an epic symphonic touch to it, but at the same time I'm not all that impressed with the songwriting, and find most of the melodies lacking memorability
