When Morten Veland left Tristania, and announced his new project, Sirenia, I remember I thought, "What's the deal with this guys and the -IA band names?" you know, Tristania, Sirenia? err, bad joke to start this review, well I'm not in the funny mood today.

Anyway, Tristania went their path and Sirenia followed the path of older Tristania, It could be said that At Sixes And Sevens is the logic continuation of "Beyond The Veil".

Amazing album and without a doubt the best Sirenia album. All the other albums (except for the 2nd album) are so inferior to this it's actually laughable. Sure, if you like totally poppy gothic metal then the new albums might be "better" since fortunately this album is not poppy at all.

At Sixes and Sevens is a masterpiece of norwegian gothic metal scene. It is Morten Veland's best works together with Beyond the Veil.
Beautiful lyrics, growlings, female vocals, music...everything is performed very well.

Definitely the best Sirenia album. There's a couple of songs that aren't as good as the rest so I cannot say it's a 10, but anyway an impressive album.

I remember back when this album had just been released and I listened to it for the first time. It gave me a strong hope that Sirenia would be a band to continue the work Morten Veland began in Tristania. Sadly I was proven wrong later, when the band chose a more commercial direction. Still, At Sixes and Sevens (and its follow-up) remain as a great musical legacy.

This album sounds almost exactly like old school Tristania.

While I wouldn't consider myself a fan of Gothic Metal, this album along with the first two Tristania albums have definitely impressed me!

8.5/10 leaning towards a 9.

A very sexy album, the music has a sci-fi sound to it, with a great use of various instruments, that have beautifully crafted melodies. Some excellent songs I can listen to over again such as, On The Wane, Meridian and Sister Nightfall.

It was a great continuation from Tristania by Morten Veland, sadly there hasn't been much to this standard, within this genre since.
