22:03 - EMols86 That being said however, the stuff that I've heard still sucks in my opinion. You think it doesn't, fine by me. I don't see why you'd get so defensive/aggressive about it anyway?
22:03 - .starrk @Mechanist: I'm not a superhero, I can't reprimand everyone for their comments. Yours resounded with me, so I responded.
22:01 - Cynic Metalhead *heard a loud convo outside the door and then saw a little sad and strange man vociferating about some nu-metal stuff* Well, who could be?
22:00 - MechanisT @.starrk: You feel you need to act for that whereas bashing a particular genre without any kind of proper reasoning wasn't enough for you to respond? That's the thing that got me. As did "your argument has no feet to stand on".
22:00 - EMols86 But fair enough. Since I'm not a fan of Nu metal, I must not recognize the supposedly good bands in the subgenre. I simply can't enjoy those bands, and you can enjoy them. Case closed.
21:57 - .starrk @Mechanist: the butthurt comment was because you lashed out at another genre in an attempt to defend yours, I believe I stated that then. I apologize that it bothered you, but I had no malicious intent.
21:56 - EMols86 So you say they ARE and I'm saying they aren't? The fact that you're assuming you're right is just great logic. @.starrk Exactly. Also, insulting your opponent in a debate is an extremely weak tactic.

These days almost every single band labels their newest record as 'the heaviest/ most dynamic or the best album they've ever done', a comment that leaves most fans with a sceptic aftertaste. We've all heard that line before, in some cases it's proven to be true… but in others it's non-existent. In an industry where nowadays hundreds of musicians rise to the occasion, there is little variation in the scene. New bands recycle old ideas and cover lack of experience with top notch production, where as the older bands stick to their old ways and pump out records that have either been done by them before or done by someone else who's done it better.
