Maybe The first well recognized death metal band from Europe, Vader released in the year 1990 their demo "Morbid Reich" a master piece in this genre and is still considered one of the best demo tapes in death metal history, ten years after that success they released a great album called "Litany" so lets take a closer look at this one.

Rating: 10 This is IMO the best Vader album. I love it more than De Profundis. Xeper is an amazing track.

Rating: 9 I'm not a fan of Death Metal in general, but I am falling in love with Vader.

Couldn't grasp it at first (vocals were weird as hell to me), but it's really growing on me.

Rating: 9 It's an awesome killer album, but definitely too short. That's why I gave it "only" 9.

A completely enjoyable blast of energy the whole way through.

This is not really a big complaint but I think the vocals are a little bit low in the mix and so is the snare drum, the bass drum is slightly too loud, I know this might be intentional but I think Black to the Blind had better production. I can't find any flaws in the music itself however.

They are probably the most accessible band in the sub-genre, along with Morbid Angel. Does not mean they are any worse for it though.

Rating: 6 The most important element in Death Metal - The Bass ! is still not versatile enough.
