A couple of years after The Scarecrow shook things up, Tobi is back with not one, but two new albums of brand new matieral featuring the cream of metal's vocal talents. Don't expect Metal Opera all over again from these albums, stylistically they are not too dissimilar from the previous album, as they mix elements from power metal and stadium rock to good effect.

Freaks.... the best thing ever could happen to Avantasia is to move towards the direction as it is Avantasia today. Continuing the "power metal" or "metal opera" forever would be a huge downfall for the band. Today's Avantasia is kickin' ass, and those who have a great sense of music understand it, no matter if it's so called "power metal" or not.

Secundum Filium
Not bad of an album, definitely better than it's follow-up, Angel of Babylon.
Ordinary men hate solitude. But the Master makes use of it, embracing his aloneness, realizing he is one with the whole universe (Lao Tzu).

A very nice album and well done by Tobi. It keeps so much the winner formula from The Scarecrow, and has more power than Angel of Babylon (and more Kiske ). Just two a little weaker songs (Crestfallen & The Edge). Outta those ones we get very great songs again from Tobi (my great favourite being Runaway Train )
