Rating: 7 Ok I take back my words. After a few listen it actually doesnt sound as bad as I thought. The songs just need sometime to sink in. Still zombie.. wtf

Totally agree. After listening this album 4 times I actually started to enjoy some of the songs... But still I had higher expectations for this album.

Yes they lost their style.some dissapoint me.

Rating: 9 The album keeps growing on me. Somehow I was expecting a mixture between HF and Into the Labyrinth by Saxon, it kinda helped.

I disagree too, but I actually really liked the last album... "Infected" has the potential to be a great album, but it just feels lacking and incomplete somehow. Half of the album is great, while the other half is just... forgettable. I wish they'd been a bit more brave, and thrown themselves wholeheartedly into a darker, heavier direction. Instead of the half hearted attempt at doing so that the album as a whole comes off sounding as like.

6.9/10 ! I haven't listened to this album yet. Is it really their weakest album ?!

Rating: 7 I think its decent for the most part. Some pretty good songs, some pretty bad songs.
Phantom noir - 30.05.2011 at 18:52
Rating: 6 Not only they changed the band concept too much, but also their music and song writing style.
Hope it's only a phase

Rating: 8 This is growing on me. It reminds me of the last Dream Evil album. Far heavier than their previous stuff. The guitars sound amazing, I don't know if this is the new producer that has brought out a better production.

I wish they had taken it further and gone for a complete heavy metal album rather than power metal, but for me this is heading in the right direction. They had done the same thing for too long, this has made a refreshing change.

It has still retained the sound of old, but beefed it up a bit. For people to say this is their worst album, I just can not agree at all. I have put it on my ipod and not cut any tracks, normally Hammerfall's albums have loads of filler, not this one.

Rating: 8 Is the womans voice at the start of Patient Zero a reference to The Simpsons?

Containment breach in SECTOR 7G. Isn't that where Homer works?

Rating: 8 I don't know why anyone is dissing this album, I wouldn't say its a Crimson Thunder album, but definitely there are some killer songs on here, its different, people should learn to accept what a band does with there music instead of expecting another classic album, for album after album. I thought Infected was still a great album for the library in HammerFall's records.

Seriously. If everyone just abandoned their sense of anticipation and lowered their standards...well, just think of how much happier people would be!

GammaRayForever - 21.08.2011 at 21:42
It's a good album, but not really HammerFall-ish...
Mountain King - 21.09.2011 at 15:45
I don't get what's wrong with this album, definitely not worse than the last few Hammerfall albums...
Mountain King - 24.09.2011 at 04:53
Not to mention Dia De Los Muertos and Redemption are exceptional songs and among Hammerfall's best songs...
MertGnerler - 16.04.2012 at 12:08
Rating: 7 If this is power metal ı dont know exactly what it is. Songs are not bad but not good for the power style. This is not Hammerfall style.
Immortalized, Redemption, The Outlaw firstly flashing but thats all. After listening 10 times it has not powerful track, regular heavy metal only
Album isnt bad but not Hammer

Hmm...I've given this quite a few listens, but there are only three songs off it which I'd say really stand out (and one of them took about ten listens to finally start sinking in): "Patient Zero" (which is a great opening track for the album, but not really a great song overall), "Dia De Los Muertos" (this is the one that took ten listens to start to sink in) and "Redemption - The Enemy Within" (which I really like, as it pulls off a dark power metal sound which is quite cool to listen to and the chorus is pretty catchy to boot). The rest generally stay pretty meh (although, admittedly, I've not given the other tracks the same number of listens the other ones have gotten).
