09:33 - Cynic Metalhead Scape, you "us", broke all the records of showing up. From the next time, i'll keep in mind wearing Cannibal Corpse when my stinking dean hands me over the PG degree.
06:11 - scapeplan I didn't realize that my graduation yesterday was supposed to be formal, and wore my Slayer shirt. Heh.

Alcoholics love their booze, chocoholics love their chocolates and I doubt it's because the formula of making booze has changed or the chocolatiers add interesting twists and bursting new flavours all the time. Sometimes… certain types of things are just good despite any changing or pioneering; as long as it's done right. What we have here today is long running US Thrash Death metallers Deceased's latest album Surreal Overdose and to these ears, they sure have done it right despite sticking to a formula that definitely won't score any points in originality.
Music to break beer bottles and stomp on LEGOs to. Fun, brutal, aggressive, fast, and good stuff. Yeah most of the songs stretch on for a little too long, but if this is listened to properly, you'll have enough beer in you to not care.
It's funny that this album can't even be downloaded... I mean, I can't find it anywhere! no torrent, nothing! and don't get me wrong, I want to buy this album...

aha good thing it hasn't leaked yet even though the label distributed the download link to magazines

I didn't know that :O but yeah I haven't found it anywhere...
This album pisses me off - its epic soloing and catchy thrash riffing makes it really entertaining, but the moments in between make it seem like it's dragging on for hours. Terribly inconsistent, with moments of brilliance.
If the best album of this year (according to ratings) were released on 2010 it'd be the 9th best album; in 2009 it'd be in the 16th place and in 2008 it wouldn't enter the top 20. Is everybody becoming harsher when it comes to rating an album or bands are running out of fuel?

I'd say the fan wars have just been raging harder as of lately. People see an album rise above their favorite in the top 20, and decide to immediately downvote it. Look at anything in the top 20. There are quite a few 3s, 2s and 1s that seem to have been put there simply to lower them on the list.

if you look at the top 20s, eventually some relatively unknown band will get 20 votes to enter the top 20. By then, the 2010 or 2009 lists are not even featured on the first page, so people care less. i.e. less idiots remember to down vote those albums, hence the seemingly higher scores in previous years. If you look back at the top 20 of 2011, the ratings would likely be higher than now
