This is just a really fun album. Great hooks and often very funny lyrics. I know there's a lot of metal (really good metal at that) that addresses more serious topics and creates a more serious tone but there's still room for a band and an album like this one. Definitely a step forward for Alestorm.

I thought this band was a joke at first when I heard their first album. Then I heard their second album, I thought these guys are talented enough, but let's see how long the joke lasts. But with their 3rd album, I am convinced that these scallywags are here to stay. An album chock-full of memorable riffs, funny lyrics and all-out piraty badassery....this is just perfect for having a rollicking good time !! And with that, I happily give this album an 8 (8.5 if MetalStorm would allow me).....enjoy ya grubby landlubbers !!! Ahoy !!!

Expected a bit more, but it's still a great work. They had me at The Cider Drinker XD I'll give it a few more spins in any case, but I think Captain Morgan will remain my fav release from them.

I didn't much like Black Sails at Midnight so this was a bit of a surprise Shipwrecked is great and Death Throes of the Terrorsquid unexpectedly so.

It's all quite epic to me, in a Pirates-Of-The-Carribean way. BTW just submitted the MAGINIFICENT lyrics  - gotta love their silly idea of Pirates vs. Vikings, and how they're mocking Swashbuckle.

Just saw them live last night. They definitely had the most energy out of any band there. Sadly this album was sold out.
