What a shocker this was in 1984 for Rush fans! Keyboards and electronic percussion...and alot of it! Favorite track has to be "Between The Wheels" - they have been playing this live lately...whoa...it sounds terrific!

Must have been a shocker indeed; still it's a solid album with some great songwriting if you ask me.

Just listened to this again recently, cool album, a darker Rush.

When it comes to the "synth-heavy" mid-80s Rush albums, this may just be my favorite from that time next to Power Windows. I really enjoy the songwriting on here, and even though the keyboards are a bit dated by today's standards, they still contribute to the atmosphere of the album splendidly. Some of my favorites are "Red Sector A," "The Enemy Within," and "Afterimage."

Ordinary men hate solitude. But the Master makes use of it, embracing his aloneness, realizing he is one with the whole universe (Lao Tzu).

This album must have been a huge shock for the fans back in the day, it sure was for me even few years back. Grace Under Pressure is one of those records you're supposed to listen closely few times until it really gets into your head. Then you'll actually realize how enjoyable it really is, everything you've loved about the band is there with some new tricks and enhancements. Even with pretty dated production the songwriting and the individual performances are still top notch, just as high quality, unique and recognizable as ever.

Grown a bit tired of this one as i've listened to it too much but still great record. Never liked Kid's Gloves. Love Distant Early Warning, Between The Wheels and The Enemy Within.
