Another hyped 2012 prog metal release, and another one quite worthy of the hype. Even though Headspace can be described simply as prog metal by numbers, that doesn't mean it's not fresh nor original, quite the contrary. There are still a lot of things that can be expressed in "metal with knots in the thread", and these lads know how to swing it.

This album is pretty huge. For starters it features Wakeman legacy, Adam Wakeman on keyboards to be precise - it's in the family. More to the point, though, the vocals are provided by Damian Wilson, one of the most talented singers in the genre. And that matters! I Am Anonymous is complex, technical, multifaceted, deep lyrically, and perfectly executed. A solid prog meal with a djenty aftertaste. This is simply one of the best prog albums released so far this year.

One of the best albums of the year (in its genre) and Wilson's best vocal performance. This being said, I'm hopeful with the next Threshold album.

Ha, I am an idiot. I suggested this to Innerself not realizing this was a staff pick. Good choice!

That's why the name sounded awfully familiar when my friend suggested it a while ago too

"I Am Anonymous is complex, technical, multifaceted, deep lyrically, and perfectly executed." Nothing more to say, really.

One of the best prog albums of 2012. Damian Wilson delivers a vocal performance of the ages at points, and The Big Day is probably the best closing track of the year as well.
A couple of people I talked to think that the lack of sophistication with their song lyrics and song titles are the only detractors. I cannot help but agree.
EDIT: Who am I kidding? This is a 10. I've been listening to it a lot ever since I heard it last year. It's a classic.
