Classic Monster of Obscene Productions! Highly Recommended
So, I was looking for bizarre/Technical bands on the Internet, some guy told me to go for !T.O.O.H! and Lykathea Aflame, I actually don't recall his name, but thanks to that fellow I found 2 of the most talented bands in the metal scene, I reviewed the first name a couple of months ago, now, after a lot of people asked for this, it's time for me to Review "Elvenefris".
You know what? Fuck it. I'm giving this masterpiece the ten it deserves. Cuz I gave it a listening after a long ass time and can't think fo a single moment I did not enjoy.
A MUST for fans of MUSIC.

It may not seem like an issue to some, but can we please have the name changed to Lykathea Aflame??!? It would make so much more sense to have it that way. Everyone who knows this band and album know it as Lykathea Aflame. Every other website has it that way, and this "Lykathé" group is clearly never going to release anything, seeing as they said they would in 2006 and 2009..

I've heard this first around 2007, but it has grown on me immensely in the past few weeks. Lived up to the 10 I gave it a million years ago. Back then it just blew my mind, this time it charmed me and had grown this strange love in me towards it. Perfect record with a real character, I doubt anything in the genre will ever surpass it.
Holy shit I can't believe what I just listened to. It's hard to put into words what this album conveys. Some of the fastest most brutal death metal along with uplifting guitar and keyboard melodies and atmosphere plus a mix that makes it sound like nothing is forgotten or subdued. An incredible album that I don't think will ever be matched. Sheer perfection.
Walking In The Garden Of Ma'at is THE full circle closer.
When albums get eventual later editions like shifting into vinyl the first time, bonus tracks always kill the fucking sex mood and tension release and should stay as an addenum so they should be, not on the same album list, how the arts ending was designed to be over.
Another prime example as much as it was revered and supposed to be placed elsewhere is the Godflesh cover after the true ending to The Work Which Transforms God.

I may not have the largest collection but I certainly have the absolute best
A very consistent album with no weak songs. I would argue that it feels more like a single 73min song album as the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts (in the same way Dream Theater's Metropolis Pt. 2 or Nine Inch Nails' Downward Spiral is). Walking In The Garden Of Ma'at is a beautiful way to end a brutal and chaotic album.
A fucking masterpiece! If someone knows more albums like this let me know
Fleshkiller's Awaken is one of my favourite metal album with optimistic riffs and atmosphere so it is similar to Elvinfris in that regard, you might like
If Akercocke made a death metal album with Lars Urich as their drummer.
Now I want to believe he listened to this during St. Anger sessions. I like how that album goes against the grain and still gets more commotion than modern classics lmao.
It's an interesting take that was a matter of time before its gonna get pointed out. Feel good to be against the grain of followers. Whenever I do it here for sharing facts, people seethe, people cope hard, and stack up towers of likes upon the replies lmao.

Dang what a shame. I don't even hate the grunting vocals like I normally would, but that snare/some of the drumming is a little overkill. It truly is like a mix of Flo Mounier and Lars Ulrich.
Still a fantastic album though. I think it progressively gets stronger.
Oh yea btw new album IS in the making, has been for decades but Tom Corn couldn't find time to make drums for it and officially just stepped away from it completely so the new album will most probably be with a different drummer. Reportedly, it will probably sound very different to Elvenefris though. From what I was able to find, the singer got very deep into conspiracies, anti-5G etc. stuff so I wonder whether that might have any influence.
