"Cause of Death" and "Slowly We Rot" it are best albums that the when Obituary issued. Unfeigned jewel Death Metal!!!

Great album. A Death Metal gem. Crushing guitar riffs, uncommon vocals in death metal, mouthwatering solos and some sick lyrics. What do you want more?

I'm sure there might be some sick lyrics but he could also be singing about kittens, seeing as no one has ever seen John Tardy's lyrics and he's damn hard to understand when singing

Right, he's hard to understand, but the lyrics on Chopped In Half slay:
Chopped in half

Feel the blood spill from your mouth
With rotting ways comes destiny
Feel the soul taking over, bleed!

Rating: 8 Guitar work on this album is extremely tight, though the riffs can sound a bit repetitive on repeated listens. I plan to listen to 'Slowly we rot' in a more focussed manner as well. It's weird that I only managed to stat listening to this band 3 months ago...

Rating: 9 This is their best release so far.

Rating: 10 The best of this album, are the lyrics, so poetic, so much of feeling, and of course understandable
