One man bands have more or less always caught my attention, mostly due to the inspiring testaments to individual potential that lurk within them. Many of metal's repeat offenders within this realm of solidarity have kept relatively quiet this year, but now the silence is being broken once more by the little known, though highly accomplished Chaos Moon, beloved offspring of America's very own Alexander "Esoterica" Poole.

Stab me with hate
Enforce my fate
Pain's my belonging
To death I am longing
The death I desire
The dead I admire
See no more illusion
Just thy persecution

So finish your work
Stab me with fork
Torture with knife
End useless life
Slit all my wrists

First listen is positive. Not as good as the previous one but then again, that one is fucking awesome so I wasn't exactly expecting something as good.
But yeah... It's good and the main sound is still there.

Probably the best thing the band has released, but still not worth more than an 8 or so. Either way it's really solid and highly enjoyable

This sounds like black metal with some nice doom elements if you ask me.

Really great stuff. Highly enjoyable indeed. One of those albums that I enjoy immediately, which is a good thing (for a change).

What Rod said. There is quite literally no doom to be found in any Chaos Moon.

Well, I typed it when I just heard the intro. Pretty doomy intro.

Ah that makes more sense. Intros are not exactly what I'd classify an album by though.

Yeah, fair enough. I think it's indeed not correct to call this doom, though I would say some parts on here sound doomy. But of course that's pretty subjective.

Its a good idea to write your thoughts on an album AFTER you listened to it

Drags on a little to the point I feel it would have earned a higher score from me had it been closer to the 45-minute mark, but this was still quite enjoyable.

Make sure to check out the previous one. Just as good if not better (I actually think it's better but whatevers). I'm sure you'll like it too.

I just listened to this again over the last couple days. I really like it. If you listen really closely you can hear the different melodies pertaining to each song - I get why this can be a tough listen - but the enjoyment is there...you just have to discover it.

Is this the album you are talking about?

For some reason I've always ignored this in Voidhanger's bc page because the artwork didn't interest me weirdly, never thought it would be a bm record. Seems this has the guy from Skaphe. Definitely intrigued to check this out now.
