Antimatter is a band formed by Duncan Patterson, former bass player and songwriter of doom metal band Anathema. Mick Moss picked up the pieces when Duncan Patterson left the band in 2004. And to the surprise of many pundits, the next couple of albums knocked it out of the park. So much so that nearly a decade later, Leaving Eden is rightfully regarded as the band's masterpiece. But Mick Moss is a musician with a message, and Antimatter is his vessel. After the rather fascinating Fear of a Unique Identity, Moss is still going strong in 2015 with The Judas Table, another journey through the complex exploration of human emotions.

I wasn't expecting much, but the first track was really something. Unfortunately, the rest of the album doesn't come close to the quality of that track. The last few tracks are pretty decent, but doesn't save the album from being mediocre.

I listened to it once in its entirety plus I listened some more to the songs I enjoyed the most (Can of Worms has become a favorite).

Great beginning, great ending, but that middle section is a bit too... Experimental. Not on the positive way. Still, another great album.

I wasn't expecting a great response for this band from the MS crowd, but it seems people are overly harsh on this album and not giving it enough chance; this is much more layered and progressive effort compared to the brilliant Leaving Eden - and not straight forward by any means, vocal melodies included. I'm addicted to the melancholic atmosphere mixed with a dose of misanthropic contempt and acrimony. Antimatter seem to be always overshadowed by Anathema, but this beats the lacklustre Distant Satellites by a thousand miles.

I completely agree. It's an amazing album.

    Obviously, I dare say.
Post Judgement Anathema doesn't do much for me these days ( We're Here Because We're Here was good, the rest quite uneven).

Not feeling this one. Some tracks are okay, but nothing's going to persuade me to put this album on instead of, say, Lights Out.
