Rating: 9 This is a true masterpiece. Comparing to the debut album music is a bit heavier and a lot more technical. Also this album contains some of my favourite Nevermore songs like "This Sacrament", "Next in Line" and the self-titled track. But the other songs are just about as good so it's really a solid album without distinctive weaknesses. At least to my ears.

Rating: 9 Probably my favourite nevermore album overall, it has plenty of awe-inspiring riffs and warrel dane's vocals on 'the learning' are probably some of his best. Great release.

Definitely agree, this is my favourite Nevermore release which is not an easy decision for me. Flawless from beginning to end, shame it's overlooked in light of later albums.

Yes it is definitely overlooked because of albums like 'dead heart in a dead world', which, though still very good, are slightly overrated if im honest. This album is the one where nevermore finally discovered their true, identifiable sound.
