With 'Sin After Sin', Judas Priest released an album that I believe is one of the very first heavy metal albums. I don't deny that Black Sabbath invented the genre, but Judas Priest is mostly far away from the blues while Sabbath based all their early stuff in blues rythms and scales. So this might be one of the first albums on which a heavy metal band stepped away from the blues and started to define the the new born genre's own rules.

A good album, though a bit tedious at times. Also, 'Dissident agressor' is just solid.

I wonder why nobody talks too much about this album. It's full of classic stuff, definitely my second favorite album by them.

And those 2 covers (Race with the devil and Diamonds) are holly balls.

Maybe beacuase they recently had realesed a masterpiece in SWoD and then signed for a big label. The unique sound from SWoD is almost gone and SAS is irregular, imo track 2 and 4 disturbs the priest sound, the rest of the songs are good but none of them as good as one the album before, track 2, 8 and 9 are my favourites.
