At War With Reality was a good album… but this is where At The Gates comes back.

Sick rating and it differs very much from rateyourmusic, but I'm still too busy listening to Amorphis.

Pretty great album. Was waiting for more killer riffs though. In my mind, the opening track has the best riff on the entire album.

Production is way better than the previous album, but the songs are on the boring side, if not bad. Is definitely lacking the killer riffs.

Miles ahead of that steaming pile they released before this. They will never fully return to form, but this is as good as it will get and I'm ok with that.

Loving this. I was also a big fan of AWWR. These guys can do no wrong IMO.

Awful production, bad vocal performance; otherwise good album with nice guitar work.

I heard plenty of good things about this release but I can't get in to it. Even after a couple of listens. I mean, ATG isn't really a "grower" kind of band. I think I actually prefer AWWR which I thought was, at least, decent.

Hate the production. At War with Reality was fun, this is missing everything I liked about that one.

Give him a chance, it was his first post. Might get better in time.
Or not.
