Most of the time words like "savage," "visceral," "aggressive' and "primal" are overused in heavy metal reviews. Every third-rate thrash or death band gets painted with such phrases, even though often you end up feeling as if Mötley Crüe's "Smoking In The Boys Room" would be more aggressive and in-your-face. But one album that can only be described by such violent description is Kreator's phenomenal 1985 debut, Endless Pain.

Not so great after hearing Pleasure to kill... still a nice ''thrash precursor to death'' metal

While this one overall, is definitely not up there with their absolute classics, like "Coma Of Souls" and "Pleasure To Kill", it is a decent debut. "Tormentor" and the immortal "Flag Of Hate" are rightly regarded as Kreator classics, and still amongst their best songs today. The vicious title track and the NWOBHM on speed of "Storm Of The Beast" are also faves of mine from this album. xD

Perhaps my favourite kreator album. a bit on the lighter side compared to pleasure to kill, but still a viscious album.

Not bad for a debut album, but the albums released in the 80's after this overshadow 'Endless Pain' a lot. 'Tormentor' and 'Flag of hate' are brilliant though\m/

It has some moments, but overall this album is totally mediocre, forgettable, and far from being one of the best thrash metal albums (also one of the best Kreator albums).
