As far as I recall in a past review I had expressed my very positive opinion concerning Australia. Whenever a band appears from there and it's good, it's not just good, it's just plain awesome. And the odd thing is that this country has given birth to some enormous doom metal acts, diSEMBOWELMENT, Mournful Congregation and Abyssmal Sorrow to name a few.

What an album...
Listening to it feels like being trapped in a terrifying nightmare full of grief, darkness and despair. Both Mandy's vocals and the brooding atmospehere are a major part of the feelings evoked ranging from utmost horror, desolation and everything in between.
Drudging the Mire is frightfully grim, and-and-and filthy, and-and completely...completely wonderful.

Well, I'll be a syphilis ridden hooker with an abusive pimp, this album is just awesome.
The thing is, I've never heard of these gals before, and I doubt I ever would have if not for the MS Awards. I expected I'd be torn between voting for Esoteric and Mournful Congregation, but lo and behold, they've got some serious competition from out of nowhere.
Bonus points for being chicks, too.

One chick and one dude indeed. It was a while sicne I heard this album, should check it out asap specially because of the awards.
