There is no "back to China". She was born a girl during China's single-child policy era and adopted by a Canadian family. She is as Canadian as can be. But some Canadians apparently can't accept that.
I have a Chinese-born Canadian friend who could tell you a lot about the everyday racism she experiences in Canada. She would laugh your pride in its "multicultural identity" out the door.
