I'd say there's more shit in hip hop because it's very popular and a lot of stuff that's popular isn't good. Same with metal's popularity days with 80s glam and early 00s nu metal.

I cant stand any hip hop

For me the best hip hop album was Judgement Night soundtrack

Not to mention most 808 oriented stuff is way heavier than any metal band
