In 2020, Tombs released what is, for my money, a strong contender for their finest record. That record wasn't Under Sullen Skies, but this is a perfectly good album too.

Tombs have been regularly putting out new music in various formats since 2008, including full-lengths, EPs and splits. They've gone the EP route again this time around, and dropped one of their strongest collections of music to date.

Brooklyn, New York's Tombs is another "post" labeled metal band that showcase plenty of other details in their music easily making it some of the more ambitious and impressive post metal I've heard this year.
