23:16 - Czerny Reiter I only have III in physical format and have listened to Sentinel and Gnosis. Didn't seem like it would warrant delving much further.
23:13 - 3rdWorld Yeah I agree on it. It is mostly a problem with his latest for me. His early 2 albums were really sweet.
23:08 - Czerny Reiter I appreciate what the guy aims to achieve, but it is way too meandering and the BM parts are not that engaging. Gorgeous ambiences do compensate somewhat, but the heavier sections are often jarring or plain uninspired.
23:01 - 3rdWorld Spectral Lore is awesome bm. Probably my favourite track from them. Highly recommended. [link]
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".
01.07.2015 - ManiacBlasphemer
Not quite a metal band, but seeing that other hard rock or glam bands are featured, I do not see why these guys shouldn't be here. Great White is one of the better bands from that thoroughly commercial movement of the 80s.
23.03.2016 - SYCON
We got a full length cd as required. It'd be a great honour to be featured on this site. Here you can find some info:
Sycon bears just one thing in mind with their music - Total Havoc!
Brutal guitar riffs, versatile vocals, stomping beats and atmospheric synths defines the music, all while retaining their melodic metal roots.
Groove Factor Guaranteed!
Sycon was founded in 2009 at Oranienburg, north of Berlin. 2011 they released their first demo EP "Sniper's Poem". 2012 they moved to Berlin-Köpenick and had a fundamental member change. 2013 the only remaining member guitarist Moe joined with Jay from the Philippines as lead guitarist. They released the single "I'm the One" featuring Aurelia's Turm singer Marcel and Declamatory's drummer Fabi. In the End of the year Jay and Moe joined force with drummer Tobi, who was playing the davul and various percussion at the medieval group Obscuratis. Shorty after bassist Lars joined Sycon. 2014 they released the single "Downer" with female singer Seline. In early 2015 they finally found their permanent frontman Daniel, which worked before with Ill Kommodity and as rapper KoH Kain and is known as streamer KæinPlay. In spring 2015 they released the first single "Bulletstorm" of their debut album and played shows such as the Rocktreff open air festival in Berlin and as support for The Vision Bleak. Corvus is a Melodic Metal band from Ukraine. They released their debut album "Raven Rising" in 2012.
28.09.2015 - diamondblack
Royal Corvus band was formed in September 2005 and the first band name was Corvus. The name was borrowed from Latin, it translates - the Raven. It is a symbol of the wisdom in most ancient religions of the world. Raven is a carrier of souls across the River of Eternity and a binding link between the fragile edge of the World of Shadows and the World of the Living. Initially, the Corvus band was created as a melodic symphonic gothic metal project, but in the process of development and quality growth joins itself the best of the different trends and styles of rock. Now Royal Corvus band has created more than thirty Russian and English-language songs. Song's sound is very different: from romantic ballads to hard and progressive rock. And nobody of the listeners will not remain indifferent, because everyone will find something in this music for themselves. All this different musical styles are merged in one unique style - Corvus style. Besides his own works band plays covers of classic rock and pop songs. During its long history Royal Corvus band many times was engaged in various kinds of rock and bike festivals in Kharkov, and outside it. The Royal Corvus band received invitations and performed in support to rock stars as: Master, Sergey Mavrin, Epidemia, Catharsis, and vocalist of the legendary bands Rainbow and Deep Purple - Joe Lynn Turner. April 28, 2012 the Corvus band has presented their debut album - Raven Rising. October 24, 2012 Royal Corvus was official support group of SCORPIONS in Kharkov as part of the farewell tour "FINAL STING TOUR" .

Amazing avantgarde band i've discovered recently, mixing jazz, slow & fast tempos with a thrashy druming and almost no vocals besides occasional screams, these guys will for sure deliver for avangarde metal fans!

Adrián Barilari with the keyboardist Hugo Bistolfi, who also left Rata Blanca in 1994, form Alianza, with many musicians sessions, which were the only members permanently was Barilari and Bistolfi. The duo explore ballads sound with more keyboard presence than Rata Blanca. Alianza did not have much impact in Argentina, but in other Latin American countries. They edited three albums Sueños del Mundo (1994), Alianza (1997), and Huellas (1999).

Innate Concept's musical identity is rooted in the Progressive Metal genre - and the word "progression" is to be taken literally. Innate Concept strives to incorporate elements, instruments and ideas normally not found in classic Progressive Metal. The newest album "Sunset In Our Eyes" combines elements from electronica and classical elements into a whole new and unique sound. A multitude of synthesizers create the atmosphere, color and texture, the mighty Taiko drum ensemble delivers power, groove and impact, while the Armenian Duduk conjures up ethereal melodies, adding yet another layer to the rich-bodied symphonic orchestra. A piano and various acoustic guitars are another integral part of melodic storytelling and quite frequently intertwine with other instruments. All of this takes place planted firmly on the foundation of thundering drums, shredding guitars and a nasty, angry bass. Innate Concept's music is challenging, demanding, cunning, powerful, intense, yet so delicate and fragile. Be prepared, for it will demand your full attention - and it will surprise you if you dare a listen. Debut album can be purchased at http://www.innateconcept.com/shop/

Progressive Metal band in the vein of The Human Abstract's Digital Veil album without the harsh vocals. Their debut album Reticence: The Musical has already been released. Definitely worth a listen.

Pathless Land were formed March of 2010, amidst the backdrop
of Progressive Metal stalwarts, Tempest Eternal. Originally envisioned as a "spacey metal shred with a touch of prog" side project by guitarist Matt "Mattowarrior" Davinci, it became a beast all its own when Matt decided to make the jump from Tempest into the great unknown. Musical and other differences fueled the split, and Matt embarked on the beginngs of what would be a huge undertaking into many different stylings of heavy metal music with diverse influences. Inspired by many one man bands which over the years have run the gamut from Bathory to many of Devin Townsend's projects, Matt decided to record an album/demo to make his first move alone on the metal map. The aptly titled came out in 2012, and even though a sometimes rough set of recordings recorded at various times the 2 years before, it was a statement of intent from the Judas Priest meets classic German power metal "Wings of Vindication" to the space rock of "TQJ" (standing for the quantum jump) to the technical prog death and swedish melodic death inspired "End Times". Variety was the order of the day, and Mattowarrior makes his debut on vocals and all instruments with equal aplomb. But while Matt sowed his metal oats with , something was missing. With the urge to play live and after a series of shows with another band (the very different but equally eclectic Midi Warlord (now called Axxxed), a live show was envisioned for Pathless Land. Also almost simultaneously, new ideas were brewing to carry the Epic Metal tradition even further and that brings us to now, a period that in which Pathless is making the transition from solo project to full band, a band which shows the promise of being one of the best brand new metal bands in America, and perhaps the planet. Or perhaps the universe, as you the listener, are just a traveller along for this ride.
21.05.2016 - a MasT
Solid new band, debut album came out 5/20. Sounds like emperor + shred + death + whatever, its proggy in spots. Going on tour, they could use another listing and they would be a great addition.

Founded by Finnish guitar maestro LARS ERIC MATTSON and keyboard player Alexander King the CONDITION RED Progressive Rock project was a truly international affair, incorporating Italian hotshot guitarist ALEX MASI and renowned keyboard player DEREK SHERINAN, a veteran of both ALICE COOPER and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. Ella Grussner of BARKAVALL contributed violin and vocals. Lion Music released the self-titled debut in July 2000.
CONDITION RED returned in 2003 with the second instalment, granting singer / violinist Ella Grussner a much more prominent role from that of her contributions on the debut and adding EMPIRE drummer Gerald Kloos.
The band donated their rendition of DEEP PURPLE's 'Black Knight' to the 2003 'Blackmore's Castle - A Tribute to Deep Purple and Rainbow' album issued by Lion Music. Torgny Stjärnfelt guested on the 2004 BOOK OF REFLECTIONS debut, a mainly Scandinavian "All star" symphonic, neo-classical Power Metal project assembled by LARS ERIC MATTSON...

3/4 of this band is from Ne Obliviscaris http://metalstorm.net/bands/band.php?band_id=3932&bandname=Ne%2BObliviscaris. They've got Dan Presland on Drums, Brendan Brown on Bass, and Benjamin Baret on Lead Guitar from NeO. Also have this guy, http://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Ben_Boyle/286. I have listened to this album more than everything else that has come out this year except Mistur. I really enjoy the fretless bass (toured with Beyond Creation, Montreal tech death what), the atmospheric girl vocals ala Fallujah (but more to my liking), tremelo picking (blacken it a bit), and mega complicated driving drums you've grown to love from NeO. Samsara is definitely my favorite track. The segment at 1:58 is magic. This whole album is killer and the relative lack of vocals makes it really unique amongst the tech-deathy genres.

Infinite Spectrum is a prog metal band based in New York City. To further engage the listener, they use sound effects and voice acting to create "movie-like" scenes within the music. What sets Infinite Spectrum's music apart from the rest, is that there is a strong emphasis on combining a very theatrical element with the progressive metal genre, which is used to tell full-length stories/concepts.

Flatulated released their new album though Band Camp and it's entitled "Bowel Hymnary". Nine tracks of brutal old school death metal with plenty of creative genre mixing to keep it interesting throughout the album.
Here's what one reviewer had to say about it.
Slamophiliac - "Of all the old school death metal revivalism going on in recent years, this is the best to come out of it. Creative, humorous and all around well made, it is a hidden gem of the underground. Favorite track: Balls To The Wall."
1. Human Crop Field 4:05
2. Ass Maggots 5:04
3. Balls To The Wall 5:39
4. Vultuous 4:04
5. Impacation Of The Bowels 2:36
6. Death Queen 4:48
7. Melodious Keistering 3:44
8. Forced Sodomy 4:19
9. Party Time 3:23
The album includes two covers of classic songs such as Accept's "Balls To The Wall" And 45 Grave's original "Party Time". Their "Zombie Version" of this song was featured in the cult classic movie The Return Of The Living Dead.

..It so happened that during the autumn of 2003, four relatively alcoholised friends from the great city of Kokkola (situated on the westcoast of Finland) found themselves on a drinking-binge once again. Eventually their conversation, or drunken blabber, touched upon the subject of music. And as musicians often do when they're wasted, the four friends decided to start a coverband, covering the likes of Pantera & Slayer among others.... Much to their own surprise, the talks actually were remembered the next day, so our anti-heroes had no choice but to gather at a rehearsal place and get the party started. This union of booze and great music continued for some weeks, until one morning when the boys realised they'd actually written a couple of songs during the previous nights beerfueled hazyness. Eventually some more songs emerged and it was time for a demo. Mental Care Foundation was the name the boys settled for and by the end of 2003 they had a 4-track demo on their hand. Nothing much came of that, so in the spring of 2004 the MCF dudes entered a local studio with enough songs to record an album, and some weeks later their debut album was finished. The music was strongly influenced by Pantera, Slayer and Testament. Towards the end of 2004 the guys secured a deal with Low Frequency Records and in the spring of 2005 their debut album Alcohol Anthems was released. Due to other engagements the summer flew by without much happening but in October ' 05 the group met up again and decided it was time to do something. Studio 57 was booked for a total of 6 days (in two sessions) and equipped with tons of booze, a few riffs and the fear of God the guys started to bash it out. The spring of 2006 saw the release of the promo called The Holy Bastards which was sent all over the place yet yielded no response worth mentioning. As we know from before the summertime means drinking time for these guys but finally in the autumn of 2006, MCF found a new label to put out their 2nd album on and the latest in the grapevine says there will even be some shows coming up.........join us while this story still unfolds.

The band has a long history and has many releases. In the late 80's, the band released a full length album on Azra International Records titled "Blessing in the Skies" and the shaped picture disc "The Vision" with the same label. Other releases in the 80's and early 90's include "Slave to the Blade", "Death Before Dishonor", and "5 Demons". The band ended in 93, but in 99 Unisound Records released a best of titled "Axemaster & The Awakening - 1985-1995" and then the same label re-released "Death Before Dishonor". In 2006, Burning Star Records re-released "Blessing in the Skies" on CD. The band was brought back in 2010, signed with Pure Steel Records, and in 2015 released the full length album "Overture to Madness". The band is currently active and working on a new album.
