Not quite a metal band, but seeing that other hard rock or glam bands are featured, I do not see why these guys shouldn't be here. Great White is one of the better bands from that thoroughly commercial movement of the 80s.

Corvus is a Melodic Metal band from Ukraine. They released their debut album "Raven Rising" in 2012.
28.09.2015 - diamondblack
http://www.reverbnation.com/royalcorvus
Royal Corvus band was formed in September 2005 and the first band name was Corvus. The name was borrowed from Latin, it translates - the Raven. It is a symbol of the wisdom in most ancient religions of the world. Raven is a carrier of souls across the River of Eternity and a binding link between the fragile edge of the World of Shadows and the World of the Living. Initially, the Corvus band was created as a melodic symphonic gothic metal project, but in the process of development and quality growth joins itself the best of the different trends and styles of rock. Now Royal Corvus band has created more than thirty Russian and English-language songs. Song's sound is very different: from romantic ballads to hard and progressive rock. And nobody of the listeners will not remain indifferent, because everyone will find something in this music for themselves. All this different musical styles are merged in one unique style - Corvus style. Besides his own works band plays covers of classic rock and pop songs. During its long history Royal Corvus band many times was engaged in various kinds of rock and bike festivals in Kharkov, and outside it. The Royal Corvus band received invitations and performed in support to rock stars as: Master, Sergey Mavrin, Epidemia, Catharsis, and vocalist of the legendary bands Rainbow and Deep Purple - Joe Lynn Turner. April 28, 2012 the Corvus band has presented their debut album - Raven Rising. October 24, 2012 Royal Corvus was official support group of SCORPIONS in Kharkov as part of the farewell tour "FINAL STING TOUR" . |

It's phenomenal and unlikely band, especially on polish metal scene strongly dominated by black/death metal. Titanium explores quite different musical areas - melodic power metal.
The band has released 2 albums until now, both issued with success in Japan by Avalon/Marquee label. The second LP "Atomic number 22" released on 28.09.2016.
The band was started by the guitarist and main composer Karol Mania, known for symphonic metal band Pathfinder as well.
On vocals we can hear Konstantin Naumenko from Ukrainian SUNRISE band.
Here you can watch their official video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAxTbBCIfV0

23.03.2016 - SYCON
We got a full length cd as required. It'd be a great honour to be featured on this site. Here you can find some info:
Short description:
Sycon bears just one thing in mind with their music - Total Havoc!
Brutal guitar riffs, versatile vocals, stomping beats and atmospheric synths defines the music, all while retaining their melodic metal roots.
Groove Factor Guaranteed!
Biography:
Sycon was founded in 2009 at Oranienburg, north of Berlin. 2011 they released their first demo EP "Sniper's Poem". 2012 they moved to Berlin-Köpenick and had a fundamental member change. 2013 the only remaining member guitarist Moe joined with Jay from the Philippines as lead guitarist. They released the single "I'm the One" featuring Aurelia's Turm singer Marcel and Declamatory's drummer Fabi. In the End of the year Jay and Moe joined force with drummer Tobi, who was playing the davul and various percussion at the medieval group Obscuratis. Shorty after bassist Lars joined Sycon. 2014 they released the single "Downer" with female singer Seline. In early 2015 they finally found their permanent frontman Daniel, which worked before with Ill Kommodity and as rapper KoH Kain and is known as streamer KæinPlay. In spring 2015 they released the first single "Bulletstorm" of their debut album and played shows such as the Rocktreff open air festival in Berlin and as support for The Vision Bleak. Their self-tilted first album was released on March 27th 2016.

They aren't really metal nowadays, but I agree the first 3 albums where impactful enough for the nu-metal / rap-metal scene.
21.05.2016 - Ocean Sage
Linkin Park are one of the biggest Nu-Metal and Alternative Metal acts ever. If Korn is on Metalstorm, then why not Linkin Park? Many metalheads and rock fans got into the genre because of this band. They don't deserve to be blacklisted for how they aged or their fans aged. They made a significant impact on metal.
14.07.2016 - andreosokin

03.11.2017 - Uglyboi1488
I see why there's no Limp Bizkit on here but, Linkin park? They were really important back in the 00's and kinda bringed metal to mainstream. Sure, they play pop now, but don't forget that their first 2 albums are pure nu-metal and their 3rd and ''hunting party'' are brilliant hard rock records. Also, korn's in here and they've played dubstep once.
12.01.2018 - Jack_Torrance
Their albums "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" introduced me to Nu Metal / Alternative Metal what led me to start exploring the whole Metal genre after a while.
01.04.2018 - Ganondox

02.04.2018 - Moosh666
Wow, so many delusional comments on here, you pussies need to fucking kill yourselves like the vocalist did if you want to keep whinging hahaha
08.04.2018 - SinisterMinister
The decision of whether or not to add Linkin Park (or any other NuMetal band) shout NOT depend on whether or not people like their music, or whether or not people like NuMetal. It should ONLY depend on whether they are an established band, and whether their music (or at least a significant portion of it) is a sub-genre of Metal. There is no question that Linkin Park is an established band, and, like it or not, NuMetal is definitely a sub-genre of Metal. In fact, it is the form of Metal most well-known outside of the Metal fan-base and the first thing that many people not familiar with metal think of when they think of Metal music. Thus NuMetal bands must be included on a website that lists Metal bands.
The argument that NuMetal is not Metal is severely flawed. The argument is that NuMetal is too heavily influenced by rap/hip-hop and too different from other Metal genres to be Metal. This completely overlooks the fact that there are many Metal sub-genres which are influenced by genres of music outside metal and which all sound vastly different from each other, for example, Symphonic Metal, Progressive Metal, Avant-garde Metal, Folk Metal, Neoclassical Metal, and even Thrash Metal. The only real characteristic that all genres of Metal have in common is the heavy, thick sounding distorted guitars. This is therefore the defining characteristic of Metal, and since NuMetal features this sound quite prominently, it is also a genre of Metal. The fact that it is heavily influenced by a nonmetal genre does not exclude it from the Metal sub-genres. In fact, it makes it a rather typical sub-genre in this regard.
How simple/complex it is, how tasteful it is, or whether or not you like it or utterly despise it is completely irrelevant to whether it is Metal and thus whether or not it should be featured on a Metal website. If there is a band or style of music that I dislike, I will always want them to be included on Metal Storm (or another Metal website) as long as it has the heavy guitar sound which defines metal. It is a completely different issue whether or not I want them in my music library! |

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Innate Concept's musical identity is rooted in the Progressive Metal genre - and the word "progression" is to be taken literally. Innate Concept strives to incorporate elements, instruments and ideas normally not found in classic Progressive Metal. The newest album "Sunset In Our Eyes" combines elements from electronica and classical elements into a whole new and unique sound. A multitude of synthesizers create the atmosphere, color and texture, the mighty Taiko drum ensemble delivers power, groove and impact, while the Armenian Duduk conjures up ethereal melodies, adding yet another layer to the rich-bodied symphonic orchestra. A piano and various acoustic guitars are another integral part of melodic storytelling and quite frequently intertwine with other instruments. All of this takes place planted firmly on the foundation of thundering drums, shredding guitars and a nasty, angry bass. Innate Concept's music is challenging, demanding, cunning, powerful, intense, yet so delicate and fragile. Be prepared, for it will demand your full attention - and it will surprise you if you dare a listen. Debut album can be purchased at http://www.innateconcept.com/shop/ |

Hi Metal Storm,
The Shadeless Emperor is a quintet originating from Larissa, Thessaly, Greece. Their musical style is a combination of Be'lakor, Amon Amarth, Opeth and Blind Guardian elements with influences from the Progressive and Folk Metal Genre. They have just released their debut album "Ashbled Shores" on 01 August 2017 via Wormholedeath which got critically acclaimed in several countries including their Homeland. They have shared the stage with great bands such as Wolfheart and Jinjer and have begun the pre-production phase of their second major work.
In my Opinion The Shadeless Emperor should be featured in Metal Storm, because, the Metal Scene in Greece is rising with each passing day. Great bands show up, record and perform Beautiful pieces of work and it would be great to make these bands have their moments to shine. As for "The Shadeless Emperor", they are one of the few Hellenic Melodic Death bands active to date.
Thanks a lot for your time,
Ethan |
