It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

If Journey and Rush are on this site, so should Triumph. Rik Emmett is a guitar god!

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

Ossonor is a symphonic metal band from Grenoble, formed in August 2013 by the singer, Francesca GALLO and the guitarist, Mikael RATEL who was quickly followed by the other members of the formation. At first, the idea was for the band to be focused on the singer's lyrical voice. But due to the various influences of its members, Ossonor opted to add different styles in its compositions, such as film music or death metal while maintaining a dark and orchestral universe.

AUTOMATON is THE steampunk power metal troupe. They've played national conventions and acts with their steampunk-themed costumes, goofy stage antics and glory-seeking lyrics. Imagine a powerful, melodic metal sound mixed with folk metal spirit and a retro-futuristic aesthetic. Expect a high-energy performance. Bring your tankards, top hats and Maverick guns to sing along and head bang.

One of the few Progressive Death Metal bands from Estonia. Combines academic philosophical thinking patterns with sci-fi and mythology literature to create original lyrical concepts. Musically has a very unique way of putting massive and aggressive riffs together with atmospheric soundscapes.

Beautiful but brutal. Chaotic but calculated. It's the balance between these seemingly opposing foils that Toronto's Ascendia so perfectly strikes with their beastly brand of symphonic metal. Their mammoth sound spans the Atlantic, uniting elements of North American metal with a foundation rooted in the symphonic tradition of European metal, and is poised to appeal to even the most discerning genre purists.
The five-piece - currently comprised of vocalist Nick Sakal, guitarist/vocalist John Lov, drummer Billy Lov, bassist John Abanador, and keyboardist Maestro - has been amassing serious attention and accolades from Canada's heavy music community over the past couple of years. They earned a slot on the bill for the Toronto stop of the 2013 Rockstar Mayhem Festival alongside heavyweight headliners like Mastodon, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, and Five Finger Death Punch. They've been tapped to support the likes of Into Eternity and Single Bullet Theory, and now, they're set to capitalize on the buzz with their first studio album, expected later in 2014.

This band has a nice album called "Darkness To Fall". It's their first album. I wanted to check out their profile but I realized that they don't have a profile here. I like them so I believe there must be someone that likes them too. This album has some one-of-a-kind songs like Nowhere, Deep. It would be awesome if it was featured here, on Metal Storm.

In October of 2012, Storm the Sun began their career in Strongsville, Ohio recording their first EP, So Long, The Deep End Awaits. Tony Gammalo (of Chimaira, Straight Line Stitch, Misery Signals, and Walls of Jericho fame) engineered the album which blends the melody of modern hard rock with the intensity and drive of heavy metal favorites. With an expected release in early summer of 2013, So Long, The Deep End Awaits is a sucker punch to the unsuspecting North Texas music scene and proves that Storm the Sun is an act that not only comes out swinging, but will continue to fight for the revival of a dying genre.

Born on the storm-battered industrial-wasteland of Lake Erie's shores, Cleveland metal titans Deadiron find themselves on the precipice of change. Since their inception in 2010, the five-piece endured struggles that would have broken many. Dire economic conditions, line-up changes, and a political climate rife with tension have torn apart many a band, but those elements only forged members Alexander Van Ness, Tyler Harvey, J Bennett, Thomas Walling, and Kenny Streza into a unit bound and determined for musical domination. Those caustic ingredients, married with the varied music influences and shared discipline of the quintet, have given birth to Deadiron's signature sound: a thunderous blend of hope and ferocity as melodic as it is pummeling. Charging down a path the likes of which only they can tread, Deadiron stands poised to lay siege to the music scene wherever their banner will sail.

The project Adamas was born in April 2007 from an idea by L. Castellani (vocals) and his brother Eugenio Castellani (drums) . The sound of the beginning is rough and heavily influenced by thrash metal of the early years. In 2008 the band wrote two songs: "Revenge best served cold" and "Baghdad, singin 'in the raid" with which launches the debut EP "Exarco". The band began playing live at festivals (with friends Firbholg, Steel Crow and Honos ) and metal festivals as Metallattivo (CZ) with Uranium 235 and Dishuman.
At the end of 2008 Adamas agree to cooperate with Nomadism Records to release the box set "The Dark Tower", which contains songs Exarco and the video for "Baghdad singin 'in the raid." The songs were then transmitted December 5, 2008 during the show "Italian Invasion Asylum" hosted by DJ Sicko on Wild Life Radio (Flordia - USA). In the same year two songs of the band (Baghdad singin 'in the raid and Revenge best served cold) were chosen by the wrestlers www.pro-wrestling-thefighters.de (Germany) as a music input.
In 2009, Adamas come in BPA Studios registrar for seven new songs that will make up the first full length "Its All Evil" (mixing and mastering of Andy LaRouque - Death, King Diamond), published in 2010.
At the beginning of 2012 Mr.Ice, Burellovki, and Ughiolu Spellbounder left the band. In their place come Alessandro Manini on bass and Federico Fondacci on guitar . The new training revisits the classic pieces by adopting a more direct approach to music.
The promotion of the album saw the Adamas on tour in Ireland and the United Kingdom with Cancerous Womb (2011) and in Greece with Hybridoma (2012). In 2013, Adamas and SG Records have signed an initial agreement to publish digitally "Its All Evil", in anticipation of publishing a new full length in 2014.
The band began writing the new album at the end of 2013. In the course of 2014 continues writing new songs and get major trade agreements of endorsment with Gold Music (BC Rich, Hughes & Kettner, Rotosound), Artbeat Drum Sticks and YourCable. In the summer of 2014 started to record the album at the DPF Studios Mauro "Ulag" Mancinelli. In September start filming for the video of the first single, directed by Lorenz Cuno Klopfenstein. The new album "Heavy thougths" is a meeting point between the sound of the 80's, that has marked the group until the first disc, and sounds more modern.
