Headshrinker is a metal band based out of Denver, CO. Formed as side project of Polyptych by Y. Werther in 2017, Headshrinker is a symbol of the mental health issues we all struggle to deal with. It is a topic within our modern society that is vastly neglected, stigmatized and treated in ways that are still very archaic today in comparisons to other modern medical treatment. Headshrinker is inspired by persevering through dark times, and the will / strength to battle through when the outlook is bleakest. Its themes touch upon self-isolation, emotional disconnect, lack of trust, insomniac struggle, and the existential crisis but all of which are left for the listener to interpret on their own term. We all have our ways of dealing through pain, and Headshrinker embraces the pain and finds the expression born out of raw emotion. We hope it paints mental health in light that shows it to be more than its singular stereotype and stigma. We all struggle and only death is real.
