Lying figures is a doom/death metal band. Owing to the different influences of each member of the band, they deliver a sound which is meant to be original and unique. They combine the tune, heaviness and melancholy of Doom’s riffs with brutal passages inspired by Death or Black metal, or with aerial passages from post rock and post metal.

Originally formed by the two guitarists, Mehdi and Matthieu, The band took some time to develop properly as the group was unstable at first, which led to several changes in the line-up for a few years.

Now a full team since the welcoming of our lead vocal Thibault (Octavion, Deinos Mastema), our drummer Charles (Ataraxis) and our bass player Ludo, the band are looking for gigs in their region but also outside French borders to disclose their special approach to Doom metal, which combines sobriety, power and melody.
