Biography

1980
Four boys from Strange got together and formed the band Polish. They rehearsed in a barn and the passers liked to imagine that there were rehearsing for NM chainsaw. It turned out later that this band would become one of Norway's best-selling rock bands of all time.

1983
The band changed the name to Return. Vocalist Knut Erik Østgård, guitarist Steinar Hagen, bassist Tore Larsen and drummer Øyvind Haakonsen started when a huge success as one of Norway's most selling rock bands of all time.

1985
The breakthrough came with the single Sheila which sold 1,000 copies and made Return to Norway Mestre Rock.

1987
The album To The Top was released and sold approximately 25,000 copies - that was very good at that time. That same year they released the single "Sing Me A Song" which debuted with a seventh place at the Norwegian top - not enough, it was also the Norwegian topped the charts for over a year.

1993
After six years of constant playing and with albums released, the band wanted to take a break from the music. They would find the same feeling as they had in 1985 said the break was long ... for the fans ...

2000
About eight years later, the band came back with the album The Best Of Return. The album sold about 70,000 copies and embarked on a mini tour to celebrate their fans over the years. With full houses and screaming fans around Norway - Return had found the 80s rock again and fans were delighted. As a thank you for a long success - they released the album Return Live with recording from Hamar Mart'n 2000. They did this because they wanted the fans to remember how the Return track when they traveled around the community houses and patios in Norway.

2004
Return was constantly on the move and played for the fans out there. In addition, they were also in the studio to record demo tracks to a possibly new album. During a concert at the Cape on 25 June 2004 completed Return two new songs - Save The Heart and Every Little Step - for the first time live. In the winter of 2004, Return of the studio to record a new album. We drove to the Space Valley Studio and together with Henning Ramseth they produced the new album with the title "Return" which was clearly for sale 6 June 2005.

2007
Return completed an acoustic live recording of venerable Hamar Theatre. 2 0 0 8 "Best of ... Both Worlds" was released. The album featured a new Best Of CD with old Return-hits and an acoustic live recording from 2007 on DVD.

2009
Return has recently completed a series of concerts, and now decides to take a break indefinitely.

2012
The year is 2012 and Return will be out on the roads again. See concert page for location and dates
