Biography

Founded out of former experiences and created in 1999 by Thomas , Fabrice , Khrees , Michel , Olivier and Nicolas Etienne , the band soon released a first eponymous album as known as " Aldebaran " , but the band would soon part from lead singer Nicolas Etienne soon after the release of this autoproduction first LP locally distribued.

After a long period of auditions that would last until...2002 , Nicolas David , a singer as well as long time friend of Thomas, leaves his native Normandie , to come and settle in Toulouse , and in the meantime , Marc Johnson, as a bass player , joins the party .

The band , renamed as VEDA , thus gives its very first concert in April , and is by then on the way to record a 5-track demo CD in a studio . This demo , received with enthusiasm by the audience , allows them to be broadcast on a few local radios ( FMR's Delirium City , Radio MonPais' Metal nemesis , and Spin FM's Metal Storm ).

In November 2002 , Bumblefoot honours the band with making them the opening band for two dates during his french tour , which enables the band to be broadcast on regional TV daily news ( M6 Toulouse ).

After experiencing an opening concert for Taboo Voodoo ( Cyril Achard , Mike Terrana ... ) , year 2003 is a turning point for the band : Marc and Khrees decide to leave the band as the band was to record its first album under the name VEDA . However , the band doesn't give up and quickly finds a new bass player , Aurélien , as well as a drummer , Sébastien Albert ( who leaves the band after the recording sessions of the album ) .
