Biography

The first ideas for the band emerged in the spring of 2003. With an accurate idea of how the music of Timid had to sound the singer Tobias Wetzel went looking for the right musicians. Through various projects, such as for example working with a chamber orchestra, found themselves in this finally the guitarist Patrick Loetscher and Nils Herold, bassist and drummer Laurent Thomas Ruesch New. The chemistry within the band agreed from the outset and in a short time that the first songs. With its mix of contemporary melodic rock and progressive elements Timid managed it a year to the semi-finals of the Imagine Song Contest "and reaped the first positive reactions from critics and audiences. The band then decided to put even more on composing new songs and well entrenched for a year in their rehearsal space. In autumn 2005, drummer Laurent decided to leave the band. Timid then honed to fourth, in addition to singer Tom on drums, on to new ideas. This Undeterred awareness should soon pay off. In March 2006, the band of more than 30 participants were selected to appear on the Energy Song Contest in the Summer Casino in Basel, which the band could then win it. In August 2006, with André Bader finally found a new drummer. Their baptism of fire, the new line just three weeks after its introduction and the band was now determined to take the first shots in attack. The EP, entitled "Closer to the Sun" was published in January 2008 and showed a good introduction to the stylistic aspects of the band. By the positive reactions to the first publication and the desire to deliver an entire album, the five musicians made again to the composing of new songs. In late summer of 2009 began recording for the first album "Waiting.Searching.Learning" which will be released in March 2010 and with which the band can finally show their whole musical spectrum
