Biography

Birth of the group is due to Patrick Wire, singer, who in 1998 decided to form a heavy metal band. Already since early months of 1999, the Beholder started playing live, going so far as the semifinals of the Italian music contest 'Emergency Rock'. In May 1999, joined the group guitarist and singer Matt Treasure Leanan Sidhe, and in July recorded their first demo, 'A Dream Of Eternal Majesty'.

In February 2000 drummer Mike Sachs was included and Beholder record their second demo: Between Death And Glory - Chapter I. In April, guitarist Markus Mayer joins the group, and in June third demo is recorded: it is Between Death And Glory - Chapter II.

At the end of recording, bassist Andy Newman will leave the band, and instead will enter Andy McKein. In July, the Beholder is contacted by Enrico Paoli, boss of the label Dragonheart Records and guitarist of Domine, and the following October the group will sign a contract for three albums.

The group thus enters the studio in November, ready to record her first album, 'The Legend Begin'. But the following January, keyboardist Peter Ryan and drummer Mike Sachs left the band, and in their place are called Mark Vikar Thyus Onil on keyboards and drums.

The Beholder back in the studio in April 2002, ready to record their second album, 'Wish for Destruction', out in November. The band's stylistic change surprising critics and audiences, presenting an album that differs from the first by an epic metal sound.

In 2003 the Beholder will perform Agglutination Metal Fest, alongside bands like Virgin Steele, Labyrinth and Elvenking.

In October the Beholder record their third album at New Sin Studios: it is 'Lethal Injection', the most mature album of the group. Without abandoning the style encountered in the second album, the band arranger in fact more closely tracks and all the members participate actively in the drafting of the same. Also McKein abandon the group and will replace by Ace Raven on bass. Before the new album, the Beholder will have the opportunity to open the Vision Divinenbtour, and in June 2004, at Transilvania Live in Milan, the group will present his new album.

In summer 2004, the singer Leanan Sidhe decide to leave the group to pursue the project 'Iridium'. The remaining, after long months of silence, close the Beholder project.
