Biography

SEITA is a South-American four-piece band hailing out of Amsterdam that stands for straight up thrash/death metal. The band is inspired by the contradictions, passion & violence of their homeland, and infused with new views provided by a life on the move.

Early in 2007 drummer Dom Mura and vocalist/guitarist Michel Gambini got together and started writing material. Within no time they had punched out songs that they felt had the potential to go beyond the walls of their rehearsal room - an energy later boosted by creative guitarist Edson Munhoz. In March 2008 bassist André Sparta completed the line-up and the band finished their self-recorded MCD Imprint Forever.

Between late 2008 and 2012 SEITA played many live shows and festivals in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Czech Republic and even were brought to the main stage of one of South Korea's major rock festivals, Dongducheon Rock Festival. One month before they were a headliner at Asia Metal Festival and Trendkill Extreme Fest in Seoul. In the end of 2010 André Sparta left the band and a new bassist named Diego Gomez joined the band.

23 March 2012 saw SEITA release their full-length debut album Asymmetric Warfare in co-operation with SAOL/cmm (DE). Mixing and mastering was handled by Daniel Bergstrand and Rickard Sporrong (Dugout Productions), known for their work with bands like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Decapitated, Soilwork, In Flames, etc.

After several performances as support act, 2012 was closed successfully with a place in the line-up of the world's most extreme metal cruise Barge To Hell, sailing from Miami (USA) to Nassau (Bahama's) and for 2013 SEITA is confirmed to play at Metal Bash Open Air in Neu Wulmstorf (DE) & Holland's largest outdoor festival Zwarte Cross.

SEITA has supported bands like Sepultura, Soulfly, Six Feet Under, Napalm Death, Krisiun, Municipal Waste, Vital Remains, Pestilence, Onslaught, Valkyrja, Sinister, Havok, Mnemic, Hatesphere, Sybreed, The Accüsed, Skarhead and many other (inter)national acts. Coming from far with a clear goal in mind, they give it ALL on stage!
