01. The Oath

Thor, great god of thunder
I swear on your mighty hammer
I shall ride under thy command
To where the tempest doth rage
To face without fear in my heart
And vanquish, smite and slay
All thine enemies where they stand...

Odin, great god of magic
I swear on your divine spear
I shall ride under thy command
To where thy ravens doth fly
To face without fear in my heart
And vanquish, smite and slay
All the blasphemers who tarnish thy name...

Tyr, great god of war
I swear on your right hand
I shall ride under thy command
To where the wolf doth hide
To face without fear in my heart
And vanquish, smite and slay
All those who defy thy justice this day...

02. The First Battle Of Moytirra

The Firbolgs are marching
With their heavy spears in hand
To face the noble Dannan
And fight for the fate of Ireland...

The Tuatha de Dannan clash
With the raging Firbolg host
Iron shatters bronze and forth
Is spilled the blood of many
A warrior once strong and bold...

But at night, a miracle occurs
The wounded are healed
Bathed in healing herbs
They are restored to health...

And in the morning, war
Is seen dawning with the sun
Until the land turns a murky red
And rivers are dyed with blood...

In the end the Dannap prevail,
The Firbolgs lie defeated
And surrender in utter shame
Before the throne of Nuadu...

Yet the king sees no victory -
By Dannan law he Has to fall.
For to rule a man needs both hands
And he only has but one left...

03. Viking Pride

Over broad seas and deep oceans
Sail Viking Drakkar ships
In the ships are brave, armed warriors
Sailing proudly to one more battle.

Bearded and strong
Who are they? Viking warriors!
Young and old
To the word hero they gave worth!

And no one knows who will die, who will come back,
An answer to that only doom can give...
It they don't win now
After some time they shall try again!

04. Glory Stainless Victories

Through crumbling castle walls....
The hinting moonlight serenades
Trapped in an eternal dance, it's course,
Imprisoned in the black night sky...

O Luna! Whisper unto me
Sing to me in motionless lips
And softly lull me to sleep,
So that I may dream as you bid
Of glory's stainless victories
That my people forged in ancient days...

As in a vision I see Marathon,
The armies amassed, eager to engage -
At Hastings the battle cries
Ring like ghastly bells to my ears;
The crusader king I see return
From holy lands, his armor drenched
In Arabian and Moorish blood...
The chill of the boreal wind
Pierces me even as I dream
And behold the churning sea
Spew Drakkars from the mist:
Dragon prows headed to the East...

I have passed the guards,
The gate, the wall;
I took the path of swords
Through foes, fire and all,
Just to see my castle fall
And sit in the debris
Where once I was king,
Now wan and of a pallid hue;
A shade that secretly dreams
Of glory's stainless victories.

05. Sol Invictus

Arising with the morn,
Returning with the Dawn -
Setting the sky afire
The invincible sun!

Mithras, immortal god,
Lead us to the battle front -
Our legions are moving out
Bathed in the light of thy glory!

God of the morning,
Thou, slayer of the bull -
Give us strength to fight
Grant us the honor to die...

Mithras, invincible sun,
Thy brilliant rays of light
Illuminate the sigils carved
On the formation of our shields:

We march away
To distant lands
To set for thee a shrine
In ivory and gold...
Mithras, invincible sun.

Thou, slayer of the bull
Give us the honor to stand
And face the enemy anon!

06. The Capitualtion Of Vercingetorix

Proud warlord now kneel,
Defeated, wan and in shame
At the Caesar's sandaled feet...

All these valleys that once were thine
Now, are stained with the blood
Of the finest sons of Gaul...

All these hills that you once called home
Are now shadowed by the emblem of Rome:
The eagle perched atop an iron SPQR...

Proud warlord now crawl,
Behind the chariot that drags thee
Through the streets of Rome...

The howl of the crowd
Rings like the curse of curses
To thy once proud and noble ear...

Proud warlord now die...
In agony and torment, die!
Your blood doth stain the arena's sand...

07. Ride To Tannenberg

Vast and endless is the sky
Wherein Perkunas, the father-god,
Immortal doth reign as long as
The music of thunder holds sway...

Mindaugas was crowned a king
'Neath this vast and endless sky
In 1252, to lead the pagan hordes
Answering the call of the war-god!

There the flags of our swarm
Was billowing in the wind
And the swords of warriors shone
As mighty men made ready to fight
From the Baltic to the Black Sea

In Tannenberg Vytautas won the day
Against the splendid Teutonic host:
The blood of, knights fed the thirsty soil!
And from on high Perkunas smiled...

Now only ghosts can tell the tale
Of that beautiful, glorious day -
When the Order was beaten back
And Traku Pilis founded in gore...

There the flags of our swarm
Was billowing in the wind
And the swords of warriors shone
As mighty men made ready to fight
From the Baltic to the Black Sea

I was there, I can dearly recall
The shining swords clashing in the fray,
The hail of arrows whistling overhead -
The Teuton shields and armor plates...

i was there, I can clearly recall
The spear that run me through -
I was there, I can dearly recall
Perkunas arms welcoming me..

08. The Immortals Of Thule

Once long ago I was a man,
Took pleasure in simple things:
The blowing of the breeze
That caressed my fields,
A jug of ale so sweet,
The embrace of my wife
On a long winter's night
By the crackling fire of the hearth...

Then one day I sailed away,
My armor sparkling in the sun
With my sword and spear in hand
To far away lands, towards Thule...

My eyes beheld secrets of the gods
What mortal eyes are not meant to see:
The monsters at the edge of the world,
The magic that still endures...

I stood before the wonders
Of a sunken world forlorn;
My heart was fearless then
The blood a' pounding in my veins...

I But a curse, on me was laid
To stay and never homeward sail,
Immortal I became, a guardian of the cave,
One of the immortals of Thule...

Now I cannot remember
No matter how hard I try
The simple things that gave me joy
Once upon a time...

The years will pass me by
And wax into eons long
But forevermore I will stand
As an immortal in Thule
Alongside my comrades
In the cold and crystal-lit caves
Doomed to sail no more
Nor see my home's blessed shore...

09. The Second Battle Of Moytirra

Foul beasts are prowling the land
With fangs a' dripping with the blood
Of beasts and mortal men alike:
These fiends have but one eye...

The Tuatha de Dannan take up their arms
And march down the hills in silver ranks
To face the horrors of the night, to save
Ireland from this monstrous scourge tonight...

With a shriek and a clash
Bright iron meets their claws
Under moonlight the battle rages on
As if the dark strove to snuff the light...

The Fomorians are strong,
Their strength comes front
Deep abominable depths...
Yet the Dannan stand fast,
They hold their lines and
Sing a paean of victory
As they fight the onslaught...

The break of day comes
The Dannan lace the sun
They cheer and hail the orb
With their triumphant song...

The battle is won
The enemy is gone!
Hail to the sun
Hail the new dawn!

10. Dreaming In Hyperborea

Under the eternal icebergs
Of the bleak and icy Pole
Lie the palaces once bright
Of fabled Hyperborean lords

Many strove to reach them
Many more died on the way:
A trophy chamber of death
Is set before the iron gates...

The shields of hoplites rot
In a drakkar frozen in time
Alongside with the remains
Of a Luftwaffe stuka plane...

Hidden deep beneath the ice
The eldritch halls are still alive
With the murmur of a song
That eons could not silence...

Hyperboreans ancient lords
Sleep entombed yet dreaming
Of their supremacy over all,
Yearning for Apollo's return...

When the God of light doth ride
On his winged chariot of bronze
From the island of his birth
To the frostbitten North
He shall bring them to life anon
With the holy rays of his might
And shed his glory as a blessing
Upon the Precambrian citadels
Of fabled Hyperborean lords..
