Yep you’re wrong. Samples from other artists haven’t been a popular thing for a while due to copyright issues. Nowadays they usually make their own beats.

so a hip hop album, that is based on samples from other artists is the most popular thing, I don't get it...

I think it's a pretty good record but I definitely don't get how it grew so big, the fact it's above In A Silent Way or Close To The Edge is kinda absurd
