Damn, last confirmations (COB and Ill Nino) are really gay and not suitable to Brutal Assault.
Otherwise I think it's gonna be great, I'm happy for CC, Converge, Devourment and My Dying Bride |

I wouldn't say gay, I would say this year will be open for a larger audience... sorry I was joking, I agree with you that this year is a little bit surprising, this summer we had Immortal, Testament, Suffocation, Misery Index and Marduk. This year we'll have Children of Bodom, Ill Nino, and why not Evanescence and Bullet for my valentine ...Fortunately we have CC and Hypnos to show Brutal Assault is not yet Teenagers Assault. |

I was there this year, and the year before that and the year before that. I have made it a tradition to fly to Brutal Assault every summer even though it takes my salary for half a year to do this. And every year the line-up was perfect for me. I hope they don't spoil it, cuz I'm already starting to take into consideration other fests like Hellfest and Summer Breeze.
Well, we'll see, I still have faith in BA, these couple of misunderstandings doesn't prove that it's gone bad yet |

Yes, I'm sure some great f**king death/black bands will be added, Ill Nino was lost somewhere ... xD
I was there last year too, it was great ! Perhaps I'll go this summer, I really enjoyed the 14th edition. For the moment , Hellfest is much more interesting... Behemoth, Arch Enemy, Immortal, Necrophagist, The Faceless and Decapitated... |

Oh yeah, indeed. Wouldn't make much sense to have such a festival running from Monday til Wednesday, would it?
Fixed and thanks for the heads up. |
|
|
|
| Devin Townsend, Ihsahn, Gojira, My Dying Bride, Necrophagist, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Sigh... (the list goes on). I think this festival is right for me. Buying a plane ticket soon. |

Introspekrieg, you got a great taste in music. Maybe we can hook up during the fest, drink couple of bears while discussing music and stuff |

This is where BA shines. They always have exclusive bands not seen anywhere else.
I'm so fucking happy for Bal Sagoth and Macabre. Both are from my top 10 wanted-to-see-live list. |
|
|
|
Shame is, even if I wanted to go - I can't because it is the same dates as Bloodstock.
Still, Bal-Sagoth have played at Bloodstock before, so maybe they will again this year. I can hope for that at least. |

Gojira, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Hypocrisy!!! Candlemass...
motherfucker!!! |

A must for me every year. really good line up + Gojira's like a cherry on a cake. |
|

It was ok, but the organisation is fuck up, nobody speaks English or Deutsch, so for not Czech Republic speaking people it is quite hard. And if you think that this was the 15th Brutal Assault you've expected a little bit more from the organisators.
Bud what goes around the music and the bands it was brutal |

Yes, it was a very alienating place for me as an English-speaker. The organizers must be out of their minds not having water readily available inside the concert area, and getting anything non-alcoholic was a huge pain in the ass. I've been puking and shitting for the last two days from dehydration (almost wasn't able to get on my plane), but I guess it's my fault for drinking the only thing seemingly available - beer, constantly under the scorching sun. The meet and greet tents were cool, but meeting Devin Townsend was such bullshit. I waited in line 1 and a half hours before he was due up and got stuck behind people waiting for Cannibal Corpse (who was due up after) and saw people continually cut in line (which happened at a lot of places there, is it a Czech thing?) and didn't get to meet him. The whole thing was very disorganized and lacking common sense. But it was cheap and had a decent lineup so kind of breaks even |

i didn't go on bal-Sagoth because i don't listen to them, all i can say Bleed From Within were at 10 o'clock in the morning and thy are amazing, dying fetus had also made a good show,...
it's a good experience, and for the next time i go, if i will go, i know what to expect. the good thing about Brutal Assault is low prices and some fucking brutalllll bands |

I enjoyed it, almost missed them because of schedule changes but caught them with some dumb luck. Ihsahn was the highlight for me, also Gojira, Candlemass, Sigh, Devin Townsend, Macabre, Diablo Swing Orchestra, and Meshuggah. |

| Bal-Sagoth and Macabre were the two for me. Still never seen either. |

This year was just a chaos concerning the line up changes. i almost missed Cannibal Corpse and Sepultura, also Necrophagist just because i spent more time on the camping area than on the festival ground. went to see only certain bands. this year was just a chaos concerning the changes.
but all in all, i'm bleased again. |

Yeah it was choas, a complete clusterfuck. I missed Sepultura and showed up at the time they were supposed to be playing and saw Lock Up... I was so confused. I think the organizers were drunk the whole time... |
