Cult Of Luna have shared a couple of good news recently. In terms of live appearances, they have announced 5 exclusive European shows where they will perform Mariner, their collaboration with Julie Christmas, in its entirety. The shows happen in November with Julie Christmas and there are no plans to perform the album live again. In other news, the band has just released a video today for one of the tracks on the release, "Chevron". So, enjoy the trippy result!

As it turns out, Roadburn 2016 will not be the only place fans will be able to hear Cult Of Luna's classic Somewhere Along The Highway played live in its entirety. The Swedish post-metallers will embark on a European tour next year where they will also revisit and play the record from start to finish to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Cult Of Luna have posted a teaser for their upcoming split EP entitled Råångest (which means "raw anxiety" in Swedish) with The Old Wind. You can watch it now here. The release will contain three songs, of which one will be Cult Of Luna's cover version of the Amebix classic "Last Will And Testament". Råångest shall be available to the masses in January 29th, 2016 via Pelagic Records.
Cult Of Luna will be celebrating 10 years of one of their crowning jewels, 2006's classic Somewhere Along The Highway. And they will do that by performing the entire record at Roadburn 2016 in The Netherlands. The band performed at both the 2008 and 2013 editions of Roadburn and are among the most requested bands. Cult Of Luna will be playing the album in full at the 013 venue on Thursday, April 14th, 2016.
Cult Of Luna have announced new shows in North America, scheduled for September this year. The Swedes are going to be sharing the stage with Minsk, Kylesa, Subrosa and InAeona on select dates. Cult Of Luna had announced a three-date North America tour in May, but they cancelled due to visa issues and said the tour would be rescheduled for September. The good news is that the tour has more shows now.
Cult Of Luna's mainman Johannes Persson has revealed that he has a new band called Riwen. This hardcore band will be releasing a 10" this fall on Indie Recordings and also plans to record their debut album this year and perform live.
The Swedes Cult Of Luna have announced, or rather implied, that the band will be taking a break from their busy schedule after next year's Beyond The Redshift festival in the UK which they are curating. The statement is quite cryptic and non-specific but it does seem that you should expect a lot less activity from them after May 2014 for a while.

Katatonia loves touring in North America or so it seems because after recent tours with Opeth, they will team up for the co-headlining Uncrowned & Vertikal North American tour with Cult Of Luna plus special guests Intronaut and Tesseract. The two-week run will commence on September 23rd in Boston and end on October 7th in San Francisco. Cult Of Luna, Intronaut and Tesseract all released new albums this year.
