Russian prog duo Iamthemorning just reissued their Kscope debut album Belighted (2014) on double vinyl. It is now available from Burning Shed. The album came out before this year's Lighthouse, and features Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) on drums. The band also has bad news, unfortunately. They are shutting down their Bandcamp merch store.

Venice crossover band Excel have announced that they are going to reissue their classic second album, The Joke's On You, on vinyl. No release date for the reissue has been set, but according to Southern Lord's Facebook page, it is due for release soon. This will be the second Excel album to receive a reissue treatment on Southern Lord, following the 2014 reissue of the band's classic 1987 debut album, Split Image.

Pantheïst mastermind Kostas Panagiotou has been working on a story originally meant as the basis of the concept behind the next Pantheïst album. However, the project ended up being a science fiction novel as well as an EP featuring 6 tracks involving collaborations with present and past Pantheïst members and many others. All funds generated from this EP will be used to support the recording of the band's fifth full-length album, which is to be released by early 2017.

This is an album that has been out of print for over 20 years. These tracks have been remastered by Maor Appelbaum from the original 1/2" mix reels with bonus tracks: demo versions (taken from the original 8-track tapes) of "Greed," "Mark Bowen," "Arabian Disco" and "Intro," live versions of "The Jungle" and "New Beginnings."

The Deluxe Edition of Metallica's milestone record Ride The Lightning is being released next month on April 15th via Blackened Recordings. Included in this edition are recordings of a show they headlined in San Francisco on March 15th, 1985. They headlined the second of two shows at the Kabuki Theater in San Francisco 31 years ago. Finnish bringers of chaos and destruction, black metal act Sargeist have announced a big line-up change in the band as 3 members left. Bassist Perttu Pakkanen, drummer Jani "Horns" Rekola as well as long-time vocalist Marko "Hoath Torog" Saarikalle all quit. That leaves founding member Shatraug and guitarist VJS. According to the remaining members, the band will return this year with a new line-up and album.
