Triptykon - Announce Drummer Auditions

Triptykon, the Swiss band fronted by former Hellhammer and Celtic Frost singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Tom Gabriel Fischer, will play their final concerts with drummer Norman Lonhard at Spain's Leyendas Del Rock and Germany's Party.San festivals later this month. Triptykon - Debut Album To Be Re-Released On Vinyl

Triptykon have been quiet lately but they are preparing something. Due to sustained demand, a special vinyl re-release of the Swiss extreme metal act's debut album, Eparistera Daimones, will be made available in April 2016. Furthermore, Triptykon have been confirmed for Wacken Open Air 2016 and Alcatraz Hard Rock & Metal Festival 2016 so far.

Triptykon - Release Video For 'Tree Of Suffocating Souls'

Swiss extreme metallers Triptykon have a new video for you to enjoy. They debuted a new visualization of a song off their acclaimed second album Melana Chasmata, the abrasive album opener "Tree Of Suffocating Souls". Triptykon - Cancel Maryland Death Fest Appearance

In light of the recent passing of the legendary surrealist artist H.R. Giger, with whom Tom Fischer always maintained a close and personal relationship with, Triptykon have cancelled their scheduled U.S. appearance at this summer's Maryland Death Fest, to pay respects at and assist with Giger's memorial service.

Triptykon - Announce Revised Special Box Set

Recently, Triptykon's mastermind Tom Gabriel "Warrior" Fischer was vocal about his disapproval of Century Media's Melana Chasmata planned special box set and instead of creating a problem, the label actually listened to Warrior and changed the product to his liking. A new limited edition box set has now been announced for the band's new opus Melana Chasmata approved by Triptykon.

Tom personally recommends fans not to buy it. He says it does not represent Triptykon even though the label can market the album as it pleases.

Triptykon - Reveal Details About New Single

The mighty Triptykon are about to release a new album called Melana Chasmata this coming April through Century Media Records/Prowling Death Records Ltd. But before that, Century Media will release a collector's gatefold 7" vinyl single, featuring the album songs "Breathing" and "Boleskine House". The single will contain an approximate playing time of 13 minutes, its cover artwork can be seen below and you can also hear audio samples of both songs here.

We already knew that Triptykon's new album would be called Melana Chasmata (rough translation: "black, deep depressions/valleys") but today we learn more about it. First of all, that it will feature nine songs, at a playing time of around 67 minutes. The album will also feature the art of legendary Swiss surrealist HR Giger. The release is set for April 14th (Europe) and April 15th (North America), 2014, through Century Media Records/Prowling Death Records Ltd. Check out the cover below.

Extreme metallers Triptykon have some news for us today. The metal project formed by former Hellhammer/Celtic Frost singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Tom Gabriel Warrior after his exit from Celtic Frost in 2008 has announced that the group's second album will be titled Melana Chasmata. It will be released on April 14th (Europe) and April 15th (North America), 2014. Mark your calendars for the next dark and heavy album, as promised by the band. The album's title may be translated, approximately, as "black, deep depressions/valleys". You can expect the artwork and more details later.
