Escapethecult - New Supergroup Teases Debut Album

There is a new supergroup in town and they are called Escapethecult. The band has announced details of their debut album and unveiled a teaser video for it. Escapethecult began life in 2008 as the brainchild of bassist Peter G. Shallmin of Siberian band Kamlath. He was joined by drummer Tim Alexander formerly of Primus and A Perfect Circle, Swedish guitar virtuoso Mike Wead of King Diamond and Mercyful Fate, and French vocalist Matthieu Romarin, from Uneven Structure. Their debut record All You Want To will be released on the 18th of August with the first single "I'm Absolute" available on June 30th.

Brutal Assault 2014 - Line-Up Complete

Brutal Assault 2014 is right around the corner and the last bands for the 19th edition of the festival are here. The final names announced include Dutch apocalyptic black metal band Dodecahedron, French avantgarde metallers Carnival In Coal, Russian thrash band Siberian Meat Grinder and Infernal Tenebra from Croatia. Some of the biggest names of the line-up include Amon Amarth, Children Of Bodom, Slayer, Satyricon, Venom, Sodom, Katatonia, and Devin Townsend, among others.

Project Rogue - Featuring Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Cynic Members And More

A collection of metal musicians have joined forces for Project Rogue, a crowdfunded-based project to create a unique, new studio and video project. Project Rogue set up a target of $70,000 to raise in order to create Titans, an album featuring Lamb Of God's Chris Adler, System Of A Down's Shavo Odadjian, ex-Fear Factory drummer Raymond Herrera, Napalm Death's Mitch Harris, Cynic's Paul Masdival, Rob Barrett of Cannibal Corpse, among many others.

Weedeater - 'And Justice For Y'All' To Be Reissued

Season Of Mist will reissue the entire back catalogue of American stoner/sludge act Weedeater, namely ...And Justice For Y'all, Sixteen Tons, God Luck And Good Speed, and Jason... The Dragon. Originally released in 2001 and long out of print, ...And Justice For Y'all will be made available again in a remastered version with its original cover artwork on August 29th (September 2nd in North America). This is the first time it'll be available on vinyl.

Nucleus Torn - Releasing New Album In August

Following 2011's Golden Age, Swiss outfit Nucleus Torn will release a new album this year. Their fifth studio album will be entitled Street Lights Fail and is due out on August 15th. With Street Lights Fail, the band led by mastermind Fredy Schnyder introduces the first part of a concept comprising two albums, which is going to be completed in 2015 with Neon Lights Eternal. Blockheads - Reveal New Video

French grindcore providers Blockheads are pleased to present their new official video, "All These Dreams", now available for streaming through the YouTube player below. The high energy video clip was directed by Quentin Klein, and features live footage from the band's performances filmed in 2012 and 2013, including Obscene Extreme, Motorcultor and Bloodshed festivals.

Fen - Working On New Album

British atmospheric post-black metallers Fen have announced that work on what will be their fourth full-length album has begun and is progressing well. As things stand, the band anticipates that it will be ready for release towards October/November of this year. The as yet untitled album will be a follow up to 2013's Dustwalker, and will once again be released on Aural Music's Code666 label.

The Wounded Kings - Sharie Neyland Leaves, Original Singer Returns

Doom metallers The Wounded Kings released a new album this year called Consolamentum. However, the band is now facing a line-up change as singer Sharie Neyland decided to leave for personal reasons. The Wounded Kings have brought back original vocalist George Birch who will join the band on their European tour. Sharie Neyland had been with the band since 2011.
