Jorn - New Video Online

Heavy metallers Jorn have released the second video off their new album Bring Heavy Rock To The Land for the song "Live And Let Fly", a bonus track. As in the video for "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land", this one was also directed by Thomas Tjäder and you can watch it below. The new album came out on June 1st in Europe and June 5th in North America via Frontiers Records.

Claymore - Part Ways With Bassist

Bulgarian melodic black/death outfit Claymore have parted ways with their longtime bassist Velislav Danov. The band posted the following about his departure: "Velislav Danov is no longer part of Claymore. Since this in an internal matter, it has to be handled internally. We would not share anything else, yet. Claymore will continue its work and future strategies will be revealed shortly."

Arsis - Recording New Album

US melodic tech-death metal masters Arsis have started recording their fifth full-length release. The album is being tracked at Audiohammer Studios in Florida with producer Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, DevilDriver, Deicide, Six Feet Under). The follow-up to their 2010 release Starve For The Devil is tentatively scheduled for fall 2012 release via Nuclear Blast Records.

Marty Friedman - Three Albums To See North American Release In August

Former Megadeth American guitarist Marty Friedman has signed a deal with Prosthetic Records for the North American release of three of his recent solo albums, namely 2010's Bad D.N.A., 2008's Future Addict, which have only been available in Japan, and 2006's Loudspeaker, originally released in the US by Shrapnel Records.

Hour Of Penance - Announce New Drummer, Sign Endorsement Deals

Italian brutal death metal act Hour Of Penance has announced the addition of drummer James Payne to their lineup.

Guitarist Giulio Moschini had the following to say: "Please welcome our new drummer James Payne. I've known him for quite a long time and he's a very talented drummer. We're proud to have him on board! James will be playing with us starting at Hellfest this weekend, and all of our dates on the Extreme fests here in Europe."

IXXI - Ink Deal With Osmose Productions, To Enter Studio In August

Swedish black metal outfit IXXI has signed to Osmose Productions and are set to enter studio this August to begin working on a new album. This album will be the band's fourth after Elect Darkness was released back in 2009. The band's guitarist, Axel Axelsson "Acerbus" Johnson, posted the following on their Facebook page: "IXXI is very proud to announce that we have now signed with Osmose production for a brand new record. With a new line-up and strength regained we shall enter Sunlight Studio in August with only the best IXXI songs so far ever to date."
