Scarab - Unveil New Album Artwork

Egyptian death metal band Scarab has revealed the artwork for their upcoming second full-length album titled Serpents Of The Nile. The artwork was designed by Mohamed "Bombest" El Sherbieny, the band's bassist. The album has been mastered in Poland at the world-renowned Hertz Studio by Wieslawski Bros. The band also promised to release the new album's title track soon.

"I'm Gonna Shoot", a new performance video from US metalcore band Iwrestledabearonce is now available for viewing below. The footage used in the video is taken from the recent sold out dates in Mexico and was shot by Zepeda Bros. The song comes off the band's 2011 release Ruining It For Everybody, out on Century Media.

Megadeth - Rocks Thrown At The Band In Metalfest Croatia

According to Venia-Mag.net, the final evening (June 5) of the first ever Croatian Metalfest Open Air ended up pretty badly for headliners Megadeth, who were forced to reduce their set after being thrown rocks at. The crowd is said to have been devastated because W.A.S.P. and Dark Tranquillity cancelled their sets due to technical problems and blamed Megadeth for it. Reportedly, W.A.S.P. and Megadeth had some arguments that led to the cancellation of the shows and the fans didn't approve of this.

"In Memoriam", a new video from Brit thrashers Evile is available for viewing below. The song comes off the band's most recent output Five Serpent's Teeth, released last September via Earache Records. The song was inspired by bassist Mike Alexander, who died in 2009 from a pulmonary embolism. The video was produced and directed by Sitcom Soldiers.

Magnum - New Album Details Revealed

The new album from UK progressive rockers Magnum is almost finished, it will be titled On The 13th Day and it has been penned in for a September 21st release in Germany, September 24th in the rest of Europe and September 25th in the US/Canada via SPV/Steamhammer Records. A single named "So Let It Rain" is scheduled for an end of August release. In the meantime, the band released an album teaser where vocalist Bob Catley describes the new album.

George Marino - Legendary Mastering Engineer Dies After Cancer Battle

George Marino, the legendary mastering engineer, has passed away yesterday after losing his battle with lung cancer. You might not recognize his name, but he worked on legendary albums which include Metallica's Black Album and Guns N' Roses' Appetite For Destruction. Marino also worked on albums for Saxon, W.A.S.P., Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Anthrax, Danzig, Death Angel and many more in the metal realm and recently won a Grammy for his work on Arcade Fire's album Suburbs.
