Cradle Of Filth - Australian Tour Dates

Cradle Of Filth have scheduled some new Australian tour dates. Tour will be at the end of May next year.

All confirmed dates:

22 May 2009 - Metro City, Perth
24 May 2009 - Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
26 May 2009 - The Palace, Melbourne
28 May 2009 - The Metro, Sydney
31 May 2009 - The Arena, Brisbane

Commented the band: "Australia has very fragmented and restrictive age policies in place. Each state government passes laws for such events and they are like stated, set in law. We have all ages shows in only Adelaide and Sydney. In these places you can be as young as 9 years old and still attend. Government laws in the other states do not allow us to have all ages shows in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane, these shows will be 18+. See you there!"

Into Eternity - New Video Available Online

Century Media press release

The wait is finally over as Canadian extreme progressive metal "icons" Into Eternity proudly present their new conceptual, visual masterpiece for "Time Immemorial". The track appears on the group's critically acclaimed concept album, "The Incurable Tragedy", which debuted at 17 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart upon its September release.

The video, which features vocalist Stu Block in a prominent role, was filmed in Montreal in August, just before the group embarked on the Summer Slaughter Canada tour. That trek was followed by a run alongside the legendary Iced Earth, which capped off a year that also saw the band tour with Symphony X, At The Gates and The Dillinger Escape Plan, among others.

Block (vocals) further comments: "It was really cool and, to be frank, kinda creepy doing some silent acting in the video. I've done some acting in high school and some extra work in Vancouver, so I was sorta familiar with what to do. So, hey Rob Zombie, I'm ready man; throw me in yer next slasher flick!

It was a long day for everyone - 14 hours, I think. I don't think we knew what to expect from the video because the focus was more on the acting sequences as opposed to band performance, which was kind of weird for us. Everyone involved with the video were really laid back and cool, and the other actors and actresses were really awesome and helped me out if I had any questions. (They are the pro's, after all!)

We filmed the video in Montreal at a haunted house that had been turned into a nightclub/restaurant, so it was a treat both for us to be filming a video in Canada and for me being a horror movie buff, as I was definitely in my element. I was hoping for a ghost sighting or for people to start disappearing periodically, but well, that never happened.

We were really pressed for time near the end of the shoot due to the fact we had to pick up our tour manager from the airport since we were going to start a new tour, but what a way to start a tour! I think all in all we are happy the video is finally finished, and we hope our fans enjoy it! Thanks to all our fans for picking up "The Incurable Tragedy", and we will see you all on the road in the future."

The video can be watched here.

Revolution Renaissance - South American Tour Postponed

Finnish metal band Revolution Renaissance has issued the following update:

''We are forced to postpone our tour due to lack of professionalism and responsibility of the promoter Incartaz. They approached us with an offer for the tour in June, which we were very happy about. When the time came to start fulfilling the contractual obligations, it became evident that this promoter was incompetent and could not be trusted.''

''We are very sorry about this and we tried to book the tour with the new promoter Eric De Haas of Dynamo Productions, but due to his obligations with Nightwish's South American tour, he did not have enough time to finalize the touring arrangements. We have full confidence in Eric De Haas, who was responsible for the first three South American tours for Stratovarius. The tour is currently being booked in correspondence with the new album release.''

Pestilence - New Album Details

Dutch death metallers Pestilence have posted the following update on their MySpace page:

"Pestilence is currently finishing up their first record in 15 years. Expect more brutal, heavier and faster songs than any old Pestilence album. The album, entitled 'Resurrection Macabre', features eleven new tracks and the limited edition first print will include three re-recordings chosen by fans. "Out of the Body", "Chemo Therapy" and "Lost Souls" were voted most.

The songs are lyrically more in the vein of 'Consuming Impulse'. Meaning, they're more "reality-style" than religious or philosophical. Some song-titles are: "HangMan" (Into the mind of an executioner), "Synthetic Grotesque" (Trying to create through cloning), "Fiend" (Drug addiction), "Resurrection Macabre" (The return of the Pestilence), "Hate Suicide" (Last hours of a suicide-bomber) just to name a few.
Expect a new track to be added to the band's myspace (http://www.myspace.com/pestilenceofficial) before the end of this year. The album cover can already be viewed here: http://www.mascotrecords.com/index.php?cid=3&pid=280
