Between The Buried And Me - Announce New Two-Part Album, Tour With Leprous

Progressive metallers Between The Buried And Me have shared some big and exciting news. Not only did they announce a new two-part studio album, Automata, but they also joined a new label, partnering with Sumerian Records for their next chapter, and they will headline North America with The Dear Hunter and Leprous starting March 2nd. Thunderstick - Announce New Singer And Guitarist

English masked drummer Thunderstick (ex-Iron Maiden/Samson), aka Barry Graham Purkis, announced that his band Thunderstick has faced some lineup changes. On vocal duties, there's a new vocalist called Viixen, and she replaces Lucie V. At the same time, guitarist Martin Shellard also left the band and has been replaced by Baz Roze.

Galahad - New Album Streaming Online

U.K. proggers Galahad have just released their brand new opus, Seas Of Change, which is the follow up to the 2017 Quiet Storms album which contained fifteen tracks and was a much more mellow affair whereas Seas Of Change is the polar opposite and consists of just one forty three minute track. Digital copies of the studio album are now available to download from the official Galahad Bandcamp page and you can stream the entire piece below as well.

Vixen - Singer Janet Gardner Recovering From Emergency Surgery

Vixen frontwoman Janet Gardner is recovering from surgery to remove blood clots in her brain, a condition known as a subdural hematoma. Subdural hematomas result from bleeding on the surface of the brain, and the condition is most often due to a serious fall or head injury. Vixen are also set to release a new album in 2018.

Obscura - Complete New Album, Reveal Album Title

Technical death metal masters Obscura have completed their fifth full-length album and announced that it will be entitled Diluvium. Diluvium was recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany and the album is set for a summer 2018 release via Relapse Records.

Black Label Society - Former Guitarist Pleads Guilty To Sending Minor Sexually Explicit Images

And now for some disturbing news. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a former instructor at School of Rock Castle Shannon and rhythm guitarist for the heavy metal band Black Label Society between 1998-2013, pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit messages to a 14-year-old female music school student. Nicholas Catanese, 46, of Findlay pleaded guilty to unlawful contact, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Donna Jo McDaniel.
