Heidevolk - Guitarist And Vocalist Leave

Sad and rather sudden news arrive from the Heidevolk camp. With less than 2 weeks to their new album's release show, the band announced the departure of their long time guitarist Reamon Bomenbreker and vocalist Mark Splintervuyscht. Despite their departures, the band promises to continue to perform live and work on new songs. All upcoming shows after May 2nd will be played with session members Kevin Storm (guitars) and Jacco (vocals).

Heidevolk - Premiere New Video Clip

Dutch folk metal sextet Heidevolk have new video for the tune "Urth" online just in time for the weekend. You can watch it in YouTube player below. You might recognize the song from Velua, if you have heard the band's latest creation. In the video, the band is playing in a forest and it intercuts with scenes of espionage in a village.

Heidevolk - Release New Lyric Video

As their new album is about to be released in North America, Heidevolk have released a lyric video for one of their new songs. Velua is already out in Europe but only drops in North America this next week (April 7th). The folk metallers just wrapped up an intensive Paganfest tour that included a broken foot and a laceration. Now you can get lost in "Vinland" by listening to the closing track right here. It is their first song in English.

Heidevolk - Bassist Breaks Bone In The Foot

Dutch folk metallers Heidevolk are facing a string of bad luck lately. After their guitarist Kevin Vruchtbaard got hospitalized following an accidental blow to his head, now bassist Rowan Roodbaert broke a bone in his foot. The band just finished their Paganfest Tour with Wintersun and Turisas with some war scars.

Heidevolk - Unveil New Album Cover, Tracklist And More

Heidevolk have just revealed everything about their new album. It will be called Velua and it is coming out via Napalm Records in March. The pre-orders will go live next week and the record will be available as a limited first edition 6-page digipak and 3 bonus tracks and a limited Deluxe Box (limited digipak and Heidevolk logo pendant and Vinland flag). Soon, you will probably be able to hear some of the new material.

Heidevolk - New Vocalist Revealed, New Album In 2014

Folk metallers Heidevolk have found the replacement for Joris Boghtdrincker, who left the band earlier this year after more than ten years in the group. His name is Lars (Bláhrafn) and he is involved in the projects Lost Lament, Godenbloed, Valhaz and Cut Deeper. With their line-up now complete, you can expect a new album next year to follow Batavi.

Heidevolk - Singer Joris Boghtdrincker Quits Band

Joris Boghtdrincker has left folk metallers Heidevolk. His last show was the Paganfest gig in New York. The band will soon start the search for a suitable replacement for the low vocal parts of their characteristic dual clean vocals. No live shows will be affected or cancelled by this and stand-in vocalist Mickael will take care of the vocal parts for the live shows to come until a new vocalist has been found.

Heidevolk - New Video Online

"Als De Dood Weer Naar Ons Lacht", the new video from Dutch metallers Heidevolk, can be viewed at this location. The video clip was directed and written by Awik Balaian who also was in charge of animation and graphics.

"Als De Dood Weer Naar Ons Lacht" comes off the band's forthcoming album, entitled Batavi, which will be released on March 2 via Napalm Records.

Heidevolk - Working On New Album

Dutch folk metallers Heidevolk will start working on a new concept album in summer, slated for an early 2012 release.

The band released the following statement: "This summer we will record our fourth opus. The new, as-of-yet untitled CD will be a concept album, featuring nine songs based on the early history of the Batavian tribe. It will be recorded in Nico van Montforts's XPZ studio in Oppidum Batavorum, Gelderland, and the Abyss Studio in Pärlby, Sweden. Peter Tägtgren will take care of drum production and mixing. We expect to release it in early 2012."

Heidevolk - Guitarist Is Leaving The Band

Sebas Bloeddorst, guitarist and founding member of the Dutch folk metallers Heidevolk, has announced he's parting ways with the band in autumn this year.

He issued the following goodbye statement: "After 9 years I have decided to leave the band Heidevolk. When I founded the band in 2002 I have done this to, as an artist, bring a message to the world, the proud pagan message of Heidevolk. Now I have noticed the time has slowly come for me to look to other things, and there for I have decided to focus myself more on Paganism and other musical projects I always wanted to work on but never had the time for. The next CD will be my last with Heidevolk and I will leave the band in the fall of this year.
