Two months ago, the German thrash metal legends Tankard played the Eintracht Frankfurt club anthem "Schwarz-Weiß Wie Schnee" in front of over 30.000 enthusiastic Frankfurt supporters, a short time before the kick-off of the German cup final between Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund at Berlin's Olympic Stadium. The band just announced that a new version of the EP Schwarz-Weiß Wie Schnee, which has been completely sold out for over ten years, will be released on CD and 7" Vinyl on 15 September 2017 via Nuclear Blast.

Tankard's new album One Foot In The Grave cover art has been unveiled. This 35th anniversary album will be released on June 2nd, 2017 via Nuclear Blast. And the iconic band mascot, the Tankard-Alien, celebrates his return after about 13 years of absence. The alien was born in 1989 with the Alien EP and has already graced five album covers. Sad news from German beer loving thrashers Tankard. The band has informed that drummer Olaf Zissel was hospitalized because of a suspected stroke. Furthermore, they also confirmed that Gerd Lücking from Holy Moses will step in on their upcoming live shows. On a recent update, the band has confirmed that he has been discharged from the hospital and will now rest.

The artwork was brought to life by Patrick Strogulski, who is a student of Sebastian Krüger, the former Tankard cover artist. The tracklist, 10 brand new songs, can be seen below the artwork. The album recording was once again done with producer Michael Mainx, who also produced the band's last two albums.

Taking inspiration from the motto "never change a winning team", the guys kick off the recording again with producer Michael Mainx, who also produced the last two albums. The new studio album will be titled R.I.B. (Rest In Beer) and is set to be released in the summer of 2014 via Nuclear Blast.
