The song is mediocre and soooo symphonic metal run-of-the-mill shit. Right from 0:30, you can pause and ignore.
Also, her voice isn't that good nor is she hot or something. Waste of time. ;/

Well SOP are mediocre since Arjen left them on their own, so no surprise about a new mediocre song.

Lol at blaming Epica. It's like blaming my hair for the smelly fart from earlier... Everyone who followed even a fraction of Epica's career knows better than that.

Oh yeah, a career based solely on a vocalist's looks who cannot sing properly live - I've seen them live twice at Wacken Open Air, and she sounded like queef from hell while winding out on the first song - as well as the antics of one Mark Jansen who due to his pussyhound behavior has garnerend him enemies all over the world. My close friend Samantha bore witness along with several others outside a local venue here him grabbing a woman's ass...and she turned around and punched him right in the face, bloodying it. Then her boyfriend slapped him about like a ragdoll and told him to act like a man. See, it's not just their overrated, shitty "music" that's driven them to mediocrity but also a gimmick of a vocalist going sour, as well as a bitchass pretty boy who has put a target on his back. He keeps it up, well, there might not be an Epica anymore. One can only hope.

Besides, bands who utilize symphonic, operatic styles like Therion wipe the floor with that joke of a band.

Yet again, another seemingly minor thread quickly turns into a whine-fest by someone intent upon setting forth their own agenda, which doesn't even have anything to do with the original topic at hand.

This is about a video, of one of the more enjoyable songs off Stream Of Passion's album, of which I'm also looking forward to see performed live in 2 weeks. Of course the video is more a treat for fans than for anyone else as it's not artistic much at all. But it's a great indication of their live spirit, and I'm certainly anticipating their calming, symphonic metal in person again!

Look, if you start judging a band because of its exterior behaviors, it's not worth it. There are far crappier bands than Epica, I'm sure of it. Metal is full of silly people. IMO, Epica has progressed a lot since its debut, and they are now much more than just Simone Simons. They've got a tight as hell drummer, very good guitarist and orchestrations that surpasses those of many bands.
I've seen Simone Simons sing four times in my life. She's very good, and very sexy. The latter counts for something

Wait... I ask "career" and you answer "personal live"? Who gives a shit what they do? We're talking about a band... you know... music? lol

But anyways. I got the feeling this is going nowhere... Besides, this is not the right place to discuss it.

What I said has everything to do with their "career" being that if such antics are kept up, there won't be an Epica anymore. And just so you know, a lot of people give a shit what he does, and he's paid the price for it. It can get worse; someone just might blow his fucking head off one day for it. I had no problem with him until he pulled the same shit with women I know who flat out rejected his sorry ass, and think he's complete scum. You see, the behavior of a musician or band does matter if it's soiling their reputation and career. And when it comes to this symphonic/operatic style, sorry, but only a few do it right and Epica and Stream of Passion certainly are not unique, talented, or offering up anything innovative in any way.
