According to a recent interview with the organizer of The Gothenburg Sound festival Per "PK" Carlsson to Göteborgs Posten, Ceremonial Oath will reunite for a one-off performance at the festival taking place next year on January 5-6 at Trädgår'n in Gothenburg, Sweden, 17 years after disbanding.
Per Carlsson has stated that his intention for the festival is to celebrate the status of Gothenburg being a breeding ground for many prominent metal musicians, and to make the event larger each year.
Swedish Gothenburg metal outfit Ceremonial Oath featured members who went on to play for bands like Hammerfall (Oscar Dronjak), In Flames (Jesper Strömblad) and Tiamat (Anders Iwers).
More bands are expected to be confirmed for the festival in the coming months.

No Anders Friden though? Shame.
He'll probably take part of it, I guess, he was the vocalist at the time after all. |
